Fox News affiliate, MSNBC News, thinks Obama will sweep today's primaries
in the DC area and neighboring states. Mika thinks it's so cool how the young voters who are only 17, but who will be 18 before November, can get out in Maryland and vote for Obama. Aww, ain't that nice.

1. What Is It With Mika?
Anybody know her politics? I get the feeling she's trying to ride daddy's coattails.

7. When Joe is in town, her role is to show that women are inferior to men, the dominant species
When she's sitting next to him, she's supposed to be this half undecisive personality who really doesn't stand for anything too firmly. They try to portray her as a loony liberal at times and as a drunken infatuated teenybopper at others. When Joe is there, he lets her speak her " half opinions", just to be kind to her and to show he gives women a chance to be heard but not taken seriously.

It's like the dynamic between Howard Stern and his female sidekick.
It's the lobotomized female, who laughs at every condescending remark. And that, as we all know, is the Republican mindset. Marginalize the female, discount her opinions, and keep her only as window dressing. It wouldn't surprise me if Mika sprouted a beehive hairdo.

3. I love it!
Fox Noise affiliate

Something about the affiliate: I recall that when Imus was fired there was a promise to integrate that time slot. What happened?

K&R and thanks for the chuckle.

5. It's also cool how teevee is trying to influence the vote...
Are you for Hillary? Don't bother showing up - it's all settled. It worked wonders for Bloomberg too - twice. Practically won by default.

According to them, Obama has it all but wrapped up, so everyone might as well jump on the Obama wagon and not think twice about Hillary. They tried it in NH, too, and it didn't work. Then they made like it was a big shock that Hillary won there. lol

:)

10. They tried it with California - on Super Tuesday
Should they ultimately prevail - I'll have one consolation: we made it far more difficult for them this time - compared with the walk in the park in 2004 when they crowned Kerry as I memorialized it here:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=4346496&mesg_id=4346496
people are getting smarter - by en large.

13. And when they released exit polling in '04 showing Kerry ahead,
was that to influence the vote in favor of the Dems? Because I recall a lot of people complaining that they were doing that to motivate GOPers to get out there and vote.

22. For sure. Once it's officially McCain vs Obama, MSNBC will turn on Obama like junkyard dogs
In the meantime, they're going to do everything in their power to make sure Hillary is stopped in her tracks because they know that she is the only one competent enough to beat the experienced old warrior, John McCain.

6. Credible polling also suggests that Obama is going to sweep the Potomac primaries.
And...if someone who's 17 at the time of the primary is going to be 18 at the time of the general election...shouldn't they have some say in who they want to vote for in November?

17. Yeah, wouldn't want those stupid young people to vote...
we should raise the voting age eh? And while we are at it, we shouldn't let anybody over 65 vote. Those old folks are the ones that tend to be bigots, correct? Stuck in their ways from the 30's and 40's.....

26. Update: MSNBC was just celebrating the new poll showing Obama leading Hillary 47 to 44% nationally
Brit Hume could barely hold back his emotions at this good news. He was celebrating with some dude from Obama's camp.
