"This war has got to stop." That's a quote from my nephew,
Army ROTC who got back from Kuwait a few months back. His sister was Army ROTC and served during the invasion in Iraq. They're Army brats, and my sister describes them as "at best, apolitical". Their father is very right wing. They and their SOs are all supporting Obama. My nephew is voting today. His sister and her husband actually caucused in Colorado!

is being sent back for like the 4th or 5th time-George has been diagnosed with PTSD but I guess to George Bush's war machine that means nothing

2. My Dad, who served in the Navy in Korea, said something the
other day about studies showing a maximum of 90 days in combat situations is all anyone can tolerate.

3. I agree with your nephew- but I also fear
that something bad is 'afoot'-

Yesterday's news with the suggestion of a stalled 'un-surge'- The news about trying the 6 Gitmo prisoners with death- There is a 'tinfoil-hat' kind of feeling that while we are here fighting each other over our nom, bush is planning something that will change everything at the last minute. Hope like anything I'm wrong- but I've learned not to ignore my instincts immediately- without thinking about them.
peace~
