Why it's increasingly clear Obama will get Edwards' endorsement
I believe it was the media as was the reason released today. Media converging on Chapel Hill, NC in the hundreds isn't exactly a welcome sight for a private meeting. As a Hillary supporter pointed out, Hillary's meeting wasn't known about until the following day and both meetings were desired to be private. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=4552147&mesg_id=4552147">More here

Further, they keep it in the news longer.

Further yet, it makes it look like Obama didn't pre-determine his support and is considering Hillary so when he endorses Obama, it has greater impact and greater media attention.

Further again, it makes no sense to announce an endorsement for Obama right before 3 Obama-friendly states today. It makes more sense to wait until before Texas and Ohio. If he were endorsing Clinton, he would have done it already and potentia

2. I could make a similar list of justifications about him endorsing Hillary, too.
Why not just wait and watch.

4. It would make no sense for him to endorse ClintonCo, the #1 recipient of lobbyist money.

5. You're right about this
Edwards is getting a lot of media coverage over his endorsement decision.

Does anyone know what happens to Edwards' delegates? Does he choose who they go to, or do they choose themselves?

7. They choose on their own. Contrary to news reports, NO delegates are bound.
Not Hillary's, not Obama's, not Edwards'.

11. Thanks
:)

I have heard this before, come to think of it. In any case, I'm sure Edwards' endorsement will have a great deal of influence on his delegates.

9. Plus the Edwards supporters seem to be breaking Obama anyway, except for
some holdouts.

What an amazing year.

15. Depends on the state.
In Minnesota, for example, that's true overwhelmingly. I suspect it's true across the heartland and in states where Obama won overwhelmingly. However in states like California, I think they broke for Hillary.

13. I guess he knows Obama employs many lobbyists
Taking their money is bad, but hiring their staff is okay.

The Obama hypocrisy never stops!
