Lord God, you still intervene in the affairs of men. We ask that you awake your people and that Obama is exposed for what he is. Lord we know he is a Marxist. Lord this country has spilled it’s blood over the years to fight regimes with the same positions. It is unthinkable that he would lead this nation. We ask that you war in the heavens against the forces of evil that are trying to destroy this nation. May we endure to continue to be the shining city on the hill.

Some have argued that Republicans are only pretending to like Barack Obama so they can slaughter him in the GE. To believe this, you have to believe that the last 7 (or 15) years of Hillary-hatred was just a studied pose on behalf of the Republicans to scare Democrats off nominating Hillary, so that we would fool ourselves into fielding a fluffy, cuddly candidate like Obama, and then watch in horror as the GOP incinerates him live on TV.

The die-hard republicans I talk to (on other boards - I don't post on DU a lot because I already know what my own politics are) are currently churning out calculations and electoral analysis of how Hillary will still win - much like partisan Hillary or Obama supporters are doing ehre to puff up their candidate. They really want to have her as the nominee because they believe they know how to campaign against her. They didn't take Obama seriously until a couple of weeks ago and his numbers scare them. They were already (secretly) scared by Hillary, and the idea of someone who can beat Hillary from within the democratic party is just too much.

After years of teasing Dems with comments like 'Dems pander to black voters so much....poverty pimps...victim politics....why don't the Dems find someone like MLK that wants to be judged by the content of their character...' suddenly he's arrived. They are shitting themselves.
