Let's be clear on the problems with Obama not voting on bills
Obviously a point needs to made of this issue since we already have the children that support Obama throwing their typical misleading BS and false outrage around.

The problem with Obama is not that he misses a vote once it a while. The problem, as Obama supporters know, even though they pretend not to know, is this:

1. 130 "present" when he was there because he declines to actually take a stand one way or the other on an issue.

2. His and his supporters penchant for slamming her on votes that he did not show up for. If it was important enough for you and Obama to slam her about, shouldn't it have been important enough for him to show up?

Give the false and misleading comparisons about missing votes a rest. You know damn well neither of them would miss a vote where the outcome hinged on their specific vote while running a campaign where they would never hear the end of it.

1. That's unfair! It was not 130, it was only 129, so stop saying that!

2. It's not worth your trouble to post anything like that here. You'll
simply be labled a heritic & called stupid. Might as well walk into a fundie church & try to convince them to become athiests. It seems like it's Obama staff monitoring this thing 24/7.

They have 2 stock answers to everything : DLC & IWR. That's it.

5. I will give him this
He was there today and voted the right way on the fisa bill. Hillary was not there and for me this is one of the most important votes in my lifetime.

7. Y'know, I really don't appreciate this broadbrush bullshit.
Obama supporters are not "children," nor are many of us lobbing "misleading BS and false outrage around." In fact, on another thread, I've pointed out that Obama hardly has the moral high ground when it comes to missed votes. I agree with you that neither of these candidates would miss a vote if that vote would decide the outcome. But even then, I disagree on why they would do it. You say it's because they're both "running a campaign where they would never hear the end of it." I say it's because they're both good senators who would do the right thing regardless of how busy they are with their campaigns. Still, I can find room here to agree with you on certain points. I just wish you'd try to convey your message with even a modicum of congeniality.

9. Speak to your children
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to look at this forum and see that Obama supporters are in LARGE part the nastiest democrats you will ever meet. And in large part they act like children, and are unable to discuss sunstantive issues on any level. I'm hardly the only one that has noticed.

When you begin a thread with this sort of tone, you're only asking for a vitriolic response.

20. I don't like either camp, and acting like one is better than the other is hilarious.
Both camps suck hard for the most part, and I wouldn't want anything to do with most them, especially the ones blind to their own ugliness and hate.

Bunch of fucking hypocrites infesting both camps.

13. A lot of stupid bills don't deserve a vote, it is a form of protest
against the system. Of course Hillary won't miss as many, she is all for "the system".

21. Well he can really "protest" against the system by not running then...
right? Do you people even believe this stuff? Reminds of the rethugs so much. There was a time when Bush could have stabbed a baby in the heart on national TV and his supporters would have found SOME way excuse it.

Obama supporters are no different in that respect. That's one reason why people should still well clear of voting for him.

23. I think Obama and Hillary are both good candidates
I see only a few blind cheer leaders on both sides. Most of the supporters here do their homework and know why they support or more importantly don't support a given candidate.

I like how tuff Hillary is and how good she is at not saying anything that can be used against her. I think that will be important in the GE.

I just prefer Obama because he isn't DLC and he doesn't have as much bad blood between him and the Republicans so I think he will be able to get more done. I think the Republicans will do anything they can to stop Hillary's agenda even if it is a good one. I also think running Hillary gets way too many Republicans fired up to go vote against her. Thus hurting a lot of congressional races.
