Senate Votes to Give Retroactive Immunity for Telecoms-but OBAMA VOTED NOT TO.
"Senate Votes to Give Retroactive Immunity for Telecoms" is the headline for the article, and Obama voted "yea" for the bill which means he voted to STRIP Telecoms of their retroactive ammunity. Here's the article which some apparently misunderstood:

18. Hillary better not bring up the "present" vote again.
Obama can reply with the "absent" vote.

10. Good Grief! I saw that thread
and didn't even feel like going on..I couldn't believe Obama would vote for that.

There should be a compilation of posters who try and smear Obama for the next time someone whines about the big bad Obama supporters.

19. H.C. was in Wash DC
but didn't show up to vote as Obama did. This really separates the goat from the sheep. Let H.C. know that her no-show on this vitally important issue has consequences, DUers!

20. If you're from my part of the country, all you do is count double-negatives
Edited on Tue Feb-12-08 05:16 PM by IDemo
to see what the speaker intended: "Hillary ain't(1) got no(2) vote to remove no(3) immunity from no(4) telecomm bill."

2 double negatives = Hillary did not vote on the bill.
