Just voted, no poll watchers, no party captains, no electioneers

There was no one at the polling station. No tables with candidate literature. 2-3 signs and that was it. I asked the poll workers if there had been any poll watchers and they said no one had been there. This is a new polling location, but still I would have expected someone to be out there.
I just started a new job and don't have any leave otherwise I would be poll watching again.

I don't trust those machines and asked for a paper ballot. The people checking voters in didn't know what to do so I was handed off to the captain.
