Obama folks...it's PARTY TIME!
Edited on Tue Feb-12-08 08:03 PM by calteacherguy
Just got home from work, turned on the T.V., and I see Obama is winning by over 60%!

And he's winning among Latinos, those making under 50K, women, etc., etc., etc. Obama is winning America!

It's Party Time! :woohoo:

Then tomorrow and this weekend I call on all Obama supporters to do whatever you can to support the campaign! Make calls to Wisconsin, Ohio, and Texas. If you live near those states, or don't live near those states, do whatever you can! If you can afford it, donate $$$ to keep Obama on the air in those states. We have a lot of work to do, but tonight pour yourself a tall one (or some other beverage of your choice) and Parteeeeee!!!!!!!!!

:-)

3. When you make those calls, realize that Obama will likely
be our nominee.

Do everything you can to get people to want to vote for Obama in the general election.

Please don't put down women or older people or anyone definitely for Hillary. We will need their votes this fall.

12. Good point!
the excessive Hillary supporters on DU turned me off so much. Before, I was not exactly a hillary supporter, but the arrogance was a big turn off.

We must show more sensitivity than the Hillary DU crowd did last summer and fall.

Also, keep in mind when phoning....you are NOT going to change anyone's minds by a phone call. Best you can do is be friendly and by doing so increase the turn out of those who already like your candidate. :-)

13. Agree
I have made many phone calls over the years. I think the main good that phoning does is that it encourages people who already support your candidate to get out and vote.

You probably won't change any Hillary supporters with a phone call, but if you are polite to them, then they are much more likely to get out and vote for Obama in the general election.

8. It's smile time - but not party time
...yet.

Sorry for the buzzkill, but the REAL party may have to wait till March 4th.

That, IMO, will be the day Obama could seal the deal.

Just don't want to gloat too soon.

Remember NH....

But for tonight - :):):)

GoBama :applause:

10. It'll be party time when the nomination is official
I'm like the coach would won't let his players celebrate for reaching the Final Four when the end goal is the national championship.
