Blacks and Crabs in the Bucket Syndrome... Julian Bond and the NAACP
This is why black Americans have a hard time moving forward, we have to keep each other down, crabs in the barrel syndrome. The NAACP never endorses anyone, but this push to have Florida and Michigan counted, is a defacto endorsement of Hillary Clinton. Why would the NAACP do this to Obama? What bigger prize for the advancement of colored people there could be than to have Obama as president? An obvious backdoor deal between Hillary and the NAACP now wanting Michigan and Florida counted after being barred for violating primary rules; Obama's name not even being on the ballot, the NAACP is now saying to count those delegates, BS, that is not fair, it must be illegal to reverse that decision now!!!! I guarantee you that Obama will win those states if the primaries were held today, he would have won Michigan had his name been included on the ballot. If this occurs, I am done with supporting the NAACP.

Still hoping for an Obama/John Kerry ticket.

Bond wants Florida and Michigan delegations seated at convention

Associated Press - February 12, 2008 5:03 PM ET
WASHINGTON (AP) - <snip> NAACP chairman Julian Bond is expressing "great concern" at what he says is the prospect that millions of voters in the two states could "have their votes completely discounted." And he says the refusal to seat the delegations could remind voters of "racially discriminatory primaries."
Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign has pushed hard for both states' delegations to be seated. She won both primaries, and was the only candidate to appear on the Michigan ballot.

2. She "won" only because her name was on the MI ballot & Obama wasn't.

9. Obama impresses me again - within hours of Julian Bond, Al Sharpton contradicts him
It is so much fun to watch this unfolding - the Obama camp misses little if anything, and they are so quick to respond! (I know Al Sharpton is officially neutral, just like Julian Bond is officially neutral, but come on... Julian Bond's move today was obviously timed to attempt to divert some talk back to FL and MI and away from the massacre in today's elections, and Sharpton comes on and quickly counter-acts him with a much stronger argument.)

10. I actually like Al Sharpton in this role
He is saying he will be all over this, if Julian Bond and NAACP tries to make this stick.

Julian Bond is a Clintonite...and its funny how this pops up now..

the NAACP has other shit that should be concerning them...this is not priority number one...let the DNC figure it out..

NAACP, so glad I gave up on them long ago..a bunch of elitist "colored" folks that haven't a clue what black folk need anymore..
