What exactly is a flag pin thing and what does it have to do with Obama? I haven't heard about this.

1. I assume it's about how Obama doesn't wear a USA flag pin on his suit.

3. no
it's a stupid rwing email kind of story. Totally idiotic. Obama explained why he doesn't wear one, and it made a lot of sense. Something about how he prefer real patriotism to merely wearing flag pins.

17. No, it's about the idiot MSM. They'll take the stupid suit pin thing and run w/ it.
FYI, I'm sure you've all seen the video of Obama, Clinton and some other folks at an outdoor rally and Obama doesn't cross his heart when someone was singing the Star Spangled Banner. They'lll pull that beauty out when they want crucify him on the "patriotic" thing.

11. Boo hoo...
People are sick of the propaganda. If anything, people find it refreshing.

We need to stop acting like we're afraid of "being open to right wing attacks." Who gives a shit. Fuck 'em.

13. Go and fetch your Tu-Tu......
you are so afraid of the RW, until it's funny, actually!

Obama will be more than able to articulate that Patriotism is opposing a dumb war that kills hundreds of thousands and costs trillions. Not a fonky piece of Jewelry!

Hillary doesn't have on a flag pin.
So?
What's his point?
You're not an "American" if you don't wear a flag pin?

20. "WHO WON'T WEAR THE FLAG PIN?" That sprang into my head too.
Obama commented on why he doesn't wear the flag pin a couple months back.

14. Why should he wear a flag pin?
As far as I'm concerned, the flag pin may as well be a label that says, "Hi there, I'm a cynical Republican politician."

10. Something every politicial "has to wear"
otherwise you are a traitor/terrorist...

By the way, the North Koreans have the same thing
(everyone by law has to wear a gov't issued lapel pin)

I see she has something on her left lapel (can't tell what it is) but I've never seen a flag pin on her either. Really I don't give a shit, the whole thing is STUPID!

23. Buchanan used to work for Tricky Dick, and it was Nixon who
started the whole "flag pin in the lapel" thing back during the Vietnam War to distinguish between the "good" Americans who blindly supported it, and the "bad" Americans who protested it. I see Pat hasn't forgotten how to play the nationalism cards his old corrupt boss first mastered.
