Old-school Democratic Party politics makes a come-back
Edited on Tue Feb-12-08 09:26 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
Watching Hillary's retooled message from El Paso, Texas...

Saying, "we need less hat, more cattle." Speaking loudly/forcefully about how everyone in America deserves to make $9.50 an hour and, "aren't you sick of paying all this money at the gas pump?"

Classic pocket-book politics.

After all of this visionary politics, I'd almost forgotten what campaign promises sound like!

Lower income voters like this stuff... and with good reason.

1. Too little too late
If she had adopted that style after Iowa it might have worked.

Now it just sounds like an insincere ploy to get votes instead of what she really believes in.

I really think it's a mistake to go to Texas.

8. Absolutely true
Obama was going to crush in VA no matter what I had to say about it.

So since survey USA this morning said Huckabee was surging in VA, and in VA you don't need to change parties to cross over in a primary, I used my vote to do the most good for whoever our nominee will be in November.

It seemed a fairly obvious decision, given all available information. My Hillary vs. Obama interest is a lot weaker than my Democrat vs. McCain interest.

And particularly since my vote could theoretically have moved 30 delegates in the pug primary away from McCain... winner take all for the pugs here. Imagine my sorrow if McCain won 30 delegates by one vote!
