If the delegates of Florida and Michigan are sat or the superdelegates change the vote...
Edited on Tue Feb-12-08 10:12 PM by MJDuncan1982
(I've been absent for a while. I'm sure this has come up but I want to throw it out again.)

If the Florida and Michigan delegates are counted which puts Hillary over the top or the superdelegates alter the vote (regardless of from whom to whom), then is it worth it to either not vote or vote for McCain to punish, deter and discourage such behavior?

Edited for spelling...

3. I'm already resigned to the fact that McCain will win anyway. Besides
let him clean up the shit that Bush will leave behind. The next Prez won't get anything done because of it anyway and will get the blame for it all.

4. I agree that nobody will be able to clean up all the shit Bush left behind, but
McCain would ADD to it. I hope a Dem could at least start shoveling.

6. I guess that's my question.

At this time, which is more important: having a Democratic President or selecting the Democratic Nominee in a fair manner?

I'm quite conflicted on this because I see the benefits and costs of each side.

10. We're at a very fragile point in our country's history, and we've probably
never been faced with these kinds of issues before.

I share in your conflict -- it's actually kind of scary to me.

7. If Obama wins nomination with few large blue state wins and his small step/bipartisan approach -
should we sit this one out to teach the starbucks crowd and the college towns that we won't be pushed away from our leftest principles?

8. Sure, same idea.
Which is more important at this moment in time: a democratically fair nomination process or a Democratic President?

Granted, the latter can be assured while the former cannot, ha!

9. What if Hillary wins the popular vote and Barak wins the pledged delegates?
That would also be unfair. And the caucuses, to some extent, are superdelegates. They are not purely democratic either.
