Once again Obama and his team have me asking "HOW DE DO DAT?!"
I said it when he won Iowa--in fact, that's what tipped me from Undecided to a supporter of his.

But seriously--Super Tuesday was NOT a crushing victory for him. As we all know, he lost several big blue states, including the Kennedy's own Massachusets, and it looked like his delegate count would NEVER catch up to Hillary's...

Now, here we are, two weeks later, and he's won 8 states in a row. EIGHT! Red states, Blue States, Southern, Midwestern, East Coast, West Coast, Caucus, and Primary. He, his team, and his boosters took what could have been a crushing blow (NH), fortified their positions (SC), drew even (Super Tuesday), and are now inarguably....

....(oh heck, I'll say it)...

...in the lead! And he did it when only a month and a half ago, most of the states he's now winning were easily supposed to have fallen to Hillary Clinton and her powerful, well-funded cadre of supporters?

So I'll ask again--HOW? How is he so damn good?

And can he keep being this good all the way until August? PLEASE?! O8)

1. Because he believes what he says and makes us believe, too. I
just know he'll make a huge difference we've all been yearning for.

5. No, I mean, let's talk strategy for a second....your reasons are good, but
we'd be saying that if he was currently losing, too.

If he does manage to pull the nomination out from under Clinton, people will be studying his team's performace in college classrooms for as long as Democratic societies exist in this Hemisphere.

10. His people on the ground are VERY, VERY focused.
They have a strategy, and they are sticking with it. It's a very "personal" campaign.

I think what they have capitalized on is that Dean got people motivated to get involved 4 years ago, and Obama's people are FAIRLY open to this as well. But they are more directed.
I think one of the most powerful things they are doing is having as many people as possible get up and out into the communities, at a time when it's easier to stay home and watch TV.

I watched as they nipped and tucked at people who wanted to approach things differently. If we volunteers went too far off script, we were reminded that there is ONE strategy. Person-to-person dialogue.

I find it impressive. I was proud to stump for him these past two weeks.

15. His EXPERIENCE as community organizer has served him well.
I guess we now need to call HIM the one with experience.

If he runs the country like he has this campaign--- we should be so lucky!

7. It's about competing for EVERY state, not just the big ones.
"50-State Strategy", Baby!

In the end, I voted for Obama in the NY primary (even though Hillary is my Senator) because of this. He and his campaign people apparently understand this - Hillary's people only pay lip service to it.

8. I'm guessing a strong ground game has a lot to do with it
I live in north-east Washington DC, my neighborhood is 99.999% African-American. I had a young (white) Obama volunteer knock on my front door today, doing GOTV work for the campaign, trying to get people to the polls. Obama was already heavily favored in DC, yet they were still going door to door doing GOTV. If they're doing that in DC, I've got to assume they're covering a lot of ground everywhere.
