Hillary needs to suspend her campaign
Now is the time. Why waste another $20 to 40 million that barack could use toward the general? Now is the perfect time -- she would move up in stature in the party tremendously. She could command a bigger presence in the Senate. She could be the lead sponsor of the healthcare measures there. C'mon, it's time. Hillary, it's not about you any more.

or somewhere in his administration. It is time.

22. I agree
But I have yet to see a GD:P thread talk about the damage to the rank and file supporter's budget because of his/her desire to contribute in real and full belief and support of a candidate when they have trouble making their bills.

5. Yes, she should. Especially after missing the FISA vote.
However, if she doesn't... I can't wait to see the next debate.

6. You would deny millions the historic opportunity to vote for the person
with any serious chance at being the first female president?

I felt cheated when I was not able to vote for Edwards, who wasn't even trying to make history in that way. Imagine how all those who want to vote for Hillary would feel.

(I'm not a Hillary supporter by the way, I lean slightly toward Obama).

This is the Democratic party. Let's vote and count all the votes and let the chips fall where they may. Just because the nomination is often decided quickly doesn't mean it always has to happen that way.

Also the longer it is before we choose, the more free publicity both candidates (and the Democratic Party) get and the longer it is before the RW smear machine can train its guns with full focus on a single person.

10. Interesting points
And I don't entirely disagree. I still lean toward the reasons I gave, but you make valid points. I do worry about donor fatigue, for both Barack and Hillary. Especially in the face of a looming recession.

Read my points. This isn't intended to break out into phase 1 of the superior dance. It focuses mainly on winning in the fall and having mercy on everyone's base.

She should stay in as long as possible. Let the Rethug slime machine have its aim disrupted for awhile longer. Besides, backers of both need to get the sense that their candidate worked hard for a long time.

Mitt Romney

and her, she will have to fight for popular vote

35. Hillary for Senate Majority Leader !!!
Unless Hillary can win in Hawaii or Wisconsin, I don't see how she can win Ohio or Texas.

No candidate can survive 3 weeks of headlines about the other guy winning all the time.

I think Hillary wanted to prove that "Anything Bill can do, I can do better."

She is a very smart person, but should not be trying to match her husband's resumé.

I have always thought that Hillary's talents are what we need in the US Senate.
