Can we stop saying that Giuliani skipped states? It's not true
Edited on Wed Feb-13-08 01:42 AM by jasonkrueger
If I spend 6 months hitting on a girl, and she rejects me, and I leave her alone, it does not mean I didn't try, or that I "skipped" her. The girl simply DIDN'T WANT ME.

Giuliani started running a strong campaign in Iowa, until he tanked in the polls approximately in June. It was THEN that he was FORCED to quit campaigning as hard, because it was a waste of money and time anyway.

In New Hampshire, On January 8th ABC News compiled statistics that show Giuliani "was clearly competing to win in the Granite State as hard -- if not harder -- than many of his rivals." and that "Giuliani held more events in this first-in-the-nation primary state than any other Republican except for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in neighboring Massachusetts. He also spent more on TV ads than anyone except for Romney and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz."

Rudy was not going to win Iowa or NH if he had campaigned there 25 hours a day. The scandals destroyed his chances.

1. True. But saying he skipped them makes him sound stupid, which is fun.
We like fun.
