Primary history and lore question: |
|
In 1984, were people FIRED UP for Mondale over the other candidates? What about Dukakis in '88?
Did the rank and file democrats really know much about the candidates, or is the concept of party involvement from Iowa to the convention a modern one?

2. Well, let's see, 1988 was my first primary |
|
and I have to admit, I voted for Jesse Jackson. However, I was 18 at the time and although I paid attention to politics, I wasn't particularly well connected with the "party" per se, so I don't know. I just voted for JJ because, dammit, I wanted to!
My first election ever. Hee!
