who live all over the country. We became very close after the stolen election in 2000. They kinda didn't get over it just yet.
And in honor of the continuing posts about the screaming and tears the yelling and the Clinton machine - I just mailed about a thousand democrats in states about to vote this posting

3. You're fine with 'bi-partisan' coverups of corrupt GOPs over the reaching out
to Republican VOTERS who've realized they have been screwed over type of bi-partisanship?

That seems to be the bottom line here.

Clintons continuing the protection of BushInc and CALLING it 'bi-partisanship' is attractive to you as a Democrat, but Obama reaching out to those Republican voters DISAFFECTED by BushInc over the years is painful to you as a Democrat?

I'd say Clinton's type of 'bi-partisan' displays came back to HAUNT this nation with the emergence of Bush2, the events of 9-11, and this Iraq war. But I guess that level of betrayal to party is OK in your book.

http://consortiumnews.com/2006/111106.html

And you enjoyed Bill's 3 weeks defense of Bush book tour in 2004?

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/06/19/clinton.iraq/

And Carville's BI-PARTISANSHIP on election night is acceptable?

6. Sweeping the outstanding matters of BCCI under the rug throughout the 90s DID lead to 9-11.
Edited on Wed Feb-13-08 09:21 AM by blm
You want to claim that the largest terrorist bank in the world had no links to the growing problem of global terrorism and its funding through drugrunning, illegal arms dealing and nuclear proliferation as part of operations known and abetted by US officials and their partners in Dubai, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia?

AQ Khan network was part of BCCI dealings and now he's being used to push war with Iran. You must not know much about BCCI, eh?

Besides, BushInc should have been in jail by the end of 1994, not planning their return to the WH in 2000. There would never have been a Bush2 or a 9-11 possible if all the players involved in IranContra and BCCI had been fully exposed for their criminal actions.

and BFEE's support of those terror networks DID lead to 9-11.

Care to explain how 9-11 would have happened if Poppy Bush's illegal operations had been fully investigated, exposed and documents disclosed by a COOPERATIVE Dem president?

I guess Bill Clinton was the one behind the scenes telling Kerry to go out and prove how outdoorsy he was to the gun nutters by going out and shooting defenseless birds in the middle of his campaign. The gun nutters are dumb, but even they weren't dumb enough to buy into that crap.

I imagine that Bill also told Kerry to make sure to let everyone see him windsurfing.

"I was for it before I was against it." What a dork.

I never thought it would be possible for me to dislike a candidate so much, and I think it's mostly due to the mean-spirited nature of so many of his supporters. Not just here on DU, but everywhere on the Internet. It's like Reagan all over again.

One DU'er posted a thread accusing Edwards of being a big twinkie. Nice attitude, eh? Lots of derision for Edwards on this board, mostly from obama supporters.

How is it that a man who is supposed to inspire HOPE! CHANGE! UNITY!, that all that falls away as soon as they interact with others who are leery of his bubblegum rhetoric and his glitter. Where does the enmity come from?

Ponies, indeed.

64. "but everywhere on the Internet"
it's not just on the internet... I got to listen in on a "live performance" of one of Obama's most dedicated fans at my workplace, mocking "Hillary's tears" as he called it - "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm Hillary pretending to be emotional WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH".

He actually thought I'd be amused, too - because in his mind, as a "Kucinich/Edwards Liberal" I'm just bound to see this his way. I set him straight, though. I'm in no way a Hillary fan but there is such a thing as going too far with this primary partisanship and in my view, that illustrates "going too far" to a tee. Fact is, we NEED the Democrat to win the GE - and that is the ONLY point at which my political views intersect at all with either Hillary or Obama supporters.

so, yeah, it's not just happening on the internetz.

I really hope the dems and progressives will be coming back together after the nominee is chosen - because that is when the shit really will hit the fan, and we're all gonna need to deflect our fair share in the GE campaign, if we hope to move forward AT ALL away from the neocon agenda of boundless greed for the rich and endless sacrifice for everyone else (read 95% of the world population).

The endless exchange of petty insults and outright "making up of shit" won't move progressives one step further forward, so hopefully more positive "tactics" are on the way soon...

59. Thanks... I think. I posted knowing that it would get exposure. About 4000 views today
And hopefully many more from your email. If just a small percentage of your email list approaches it with an open mind, it will have had a positive impact in my opinion.

Obama and Clinton are not so different in their plans and policies. I believe Obama has the unique ability to communicate it so that all people see the value of a progressive plan.

Peace.
