Obama and Edwards for One America |
I think Obama should consider Edwards as his running mate. They both believe in "One America". We would even have eight more years after the Obama Presidency. I've included pictures of all the candidates in my video "Bridge to Nowhere" or what I now like to call "One America". It's been moved to : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM7HUfWMOts

1. I dunno, Edwards' entire theme was built on "two Americas" one for the rich, the other for poor. |
It's likely the reason why Edwards hasn't endorsed anyone as far as I know.

2. I think John was saying that two americas is wrong.... |
just like Obama is saying he wants to be president of all Americans, not just Democrats.

4. Yes, that was my point. Edwards was saying there should be one but that there are two. |
He has in the past attacked Obama for not calling out reality for what it is.

3. Not to mention, Obama speaks of working together, Edwards of confrontation |
Not only that, in 2004, per Edwards recently, he refused to use Kerry's slogan "Help is on the way" replacing it with "Hope is on the way". Given that there is a bigger difference in themes this year, could Obama trust Edwards to follow his lead?
It shocked me to read Edwards telling this story - because my view was that in signing on to be VP, it seems implicit that he agrees to cooperate with the campaign - especially on things as trivial, but as important as this.

Edwards was for one america, but that doesn't mean that we should live in a socialistic environment. There's nothing wrong in pursuing your own dreams and making a lot of money. We just need to show some responsibility and take care of less fortunate. Everyone deserves housing and affordable healthcare.

6. Well, that depends on how you define socialism. Edwards was no more socialist than FDR. |
And FDR is ranked as perhaps the most popular president of the 20th century. For some, simply saying that everybody deserves housing and health care is too much socialism.

7. Housing and Healthcare |
Funny how people feel sorry for animals out in the cold, but when it comes to people, some don't care. I know there are some people, who live this way by choice, but there are some who never got the breaks in life. So many women and children are abandoned by their husbands and fathers with no where to go. Nothing is wrong in giving everyone the basic needs for survival. They don't have to live like kings and queens, but lets keep them off the street. It's the right thing to do.
