is that if the Dem nominee in November doesn't win, McCain will likely appoint 2 more conservative judges to the supreme court.

Now, if Obama wins the nomination, and if you honestly believe an Obama presidency will be worse than having a 7 to 2 conservative majority on the supreme court, then just go ahead and stay home in November if you like.

5. I agree (secretly) that supporting the nominee is critical.

However, I am maintaining a public posture that it depends on "how" our nominee is selected. I don't want our convention delegates to feel that they can pull any shenanigans they want and still expect us to blindly support the nominee. (I do intend to "blindly" support the nominee, I just don't want the bigwigs to know that. ;) )
