New Mark Penn spin: The weather has an Obama bias.
Edited on Wed Feb-13-08 02:23 PM by mckeown1128
hmm... when did the weather start drinking the cult coolaid I wonder?!

Blaming the weather

"Bad weather would be adverse for a lot of Senator Clinton's voters who are senior citizens," Mark Penn said on a conference call just now, in response to a question about the bad weather in Virginia, D.C., and Maryland yesterday.

Penn really sould have been cut loose from the campaign LONG ago. I am not a fan of Hillary but, let me tell you. Penn's rediculous spin is rather getting annoying.

Last week he even tried to say that Obama was less electable in the GE than Clinton because Obama has strong independent support.

On Edit: A funny comment on Politco said: the weather has been bad since super-Tuesday.

3. Let's see, then
1) Black voters voting for the black guy
2) Caucus bully-boys scaring the 50 and over women
3) Young voters falling for a cult of personality
4) Open primaries causing party-raiding votes
5) States that don't really count
6) Free ride in the press for the opponent
7) Hostile press for the candidate
8) Bad fucking weather

Am I missing any of the bullshit excuses these people invent for just flat out losing an election?

25. We should add a few more of
our own to that list..

1)Hiring mark penn

2) The arrogance of inenvatibility as in "where else ya gonna go?"

3) Underestimating Obama.

4) hilary has plants in town hall meetings.

5) hilary campaign takes a dive into the gutter politics after Obama wins Iowa.

6)Underestimating Obama

7) bil clinton starts lying his head off and people notice so much that he is now regaled to the back burner..simmering, no doubt. Before, he's put on probation he makes sure he brings up the racial issue before South Carolina primary.

8) hilary lies to try and make Obama look bad to take the focus off her record.

9) hilary ignores Obama's sweep of the Potomic thinking if she doesn't acknowledge it then it didn't happen.

10) hilary fires patti solis doyle and hires maggie williams..some internet staff get moved on.

I'm sure I've left out something..so many mistakes in such a short time.

11. Then they don't like her enough
to get out and support her..no matter what. Would mark penn's narrow little brain consider me a senior? 63? It's like a Swiss village in the Alps out here today in New York and I'd get on my snow boots, down coat, ski hat, ski pants, muffler and go walk out in the blinding white to vote for Obama Barama!

I thought that was the way it typically goes.

21. What happened to the Clinton vaunted GOTV?
Didn't they rent all the SUV's as they did in Iowa to get
their voters through the ice and snow?

Or maybe Patti didn't have enough money left to help the seniors get
to the polls.

At this rate, they will not have a shred of credibility left before she drops out.

I lost because the sun was in my eyes. My uniform was too tight. ...

Penn is trying to find someway to keep his gravy train flowing. His company has made $5.3 million from the Hillary campaign so far. The campaign is firing everyone except the guy who should be fired.

24. Except that the bad weather came late in the day and seniors tend to vote early.
The people most affected by the bad weather were those trying to vote after work, who tend not to be senior citizens. In fact, VA closed their polls at 7 pm so it is likely that some voters caught in rush hour traffic just gave up and went home. There were probably as many or more Obama voters in that group as Clinton voters.
