O.M.G. (BILL) CLINTON CAMPAIGN MANAGER ENDORSES OBAMA!!!

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The man who led Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential bid plans to endorse Senator Barack Obama today, passing over the wife of his 1-time boss.

Obama's campaign planned a 1 p.m. conference call to announce the endorsement of David Wilhelm, who later became chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

Wilhelm plans to tell reporters that Obama can build a coalition of Democrats, independents and Republicans needed to win the general election. The Ohio native is a superdelegate from Illinois who was previously uncommitted in the race.

The endorsement helps Obama in the superdelegate category, in which he currently trails Hillary Clinton. Obama pulled ahead of Clinton in pledged delegates after sweeping Tuesday's contests in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

2. You're probably going to want to
put the name "Bill" in front of "Clinton" in your title, or put on a flamesuit, or both.

5. Not at all surprising
One thing you hear again and again from reporter after reporter is that Hillary has never been kind to "the help".

Yahoo has this on it's mainpage as headline a minute ago like Oh my fucking God! They are shamefully bias of the Clinton. Give it up already. I can see that their annointed messiah is winning!

8. Really? This is the first I'm reading it, and I was on quite a bit yesterday.
Good News gets buried fast here, among all the sewage and mudslinging.

20. A first for me as well.
Wilhelm is obviously a sexist Hillary hater! I'm outraged! No truly progressive Dem will put up with someone not backing Sen. Clinton!!

 :hi:

15. Anyone with a star can search.
Searching before posting is encouraged by DU.

But not searching is just another characteristic of many Obama supporters.

23. The burden isn't on me to search.
You stated that it was all over yesterday. I stated that I was on quite a bit, and never saw it. Provide the link or drop it. Either way, I don't care. I'm glad the OP shared the news. And given that it was a front page story on Yahoo - it's simple enough to see that it's breaking. Maybe yesterday was speculation - you know how these always come down the pike a day or two in advance, before they're official.

9. Wilhelm managed Mayor Daley's campaign last year and for the election before that one.
He also managed the campaign for the Rezko-connected Governor of Illinois.

16. The Title started "THERE SHOULD BE BLOOD..."
And the author said, and I quote "I want revenge". It was a visceral, divisive rant about how non-Liberals need to be punished.

"I want the Republicans to feel the way I did in 2004," an Iowa Democrat told The New York Times. So do I. I want them to watch everything they care about disassembled. Take Reagan and Bush's names off the airports, nationalize major corporations, demolish Gitmo, gay marriage--anything that pisses them off.

I want revenge. Obama preaches reconciliation. "I will create a working majority because I won't demonize my opponents," says Obama. The Illinois senator is an interesting politician and might make a good leader. But not yet. Give me eight years of Democratic rule as ruthless and extreme and uncompromising as the last eight years of Bush. Then we can have some bipartisanship.
