8. There are so many great women leaders through the ages and today.
I like to think of the women writers through the ages, many of whom had to use the names of men to get published. My favorite author, Jane Austen, told it like it really was in some of the gentlest satire ever imagined. And of course in modern lit there are the supreme novelists like Barbara Kingsolver and Bobbie Ann Mason and the short story writers like Eudora Welty and the poets like Maya Angelou. The list is too long to envision in one lifetime, but I must admit that the men are not so backward when it comes to lit...need I say the Bard himself?
