and wonder how I could support a person who has supporters like that.

Hillary raises money and it's a crime.

Go away already. So tiresome and boring.

Barack is putting together a great ground game and organization in Texas due to his money advantages, can Hillary do the same?

We will continue to do so until we hit the max.

12. Baffled...
if you want to donate the max, why not just write $2,300 checks (or whatever your remaining max is)? Trickling it in at the rate of $50/day seems sort of pointless. Just curious.

24. But what's smarter about it?
Other than that you can save some money if a candidate drops out? I can see how it keeps the daily totals up, but then a single large donation can make up for a slow day too. As far as I can see, it all averages out.

Please note I'm not questioning the choice of candidate. I have been drip-contributing to the Obama campaign, but that's got more to do with the amount of spare cash rather than a donation strategy. I would prefer to have just written a large check early on.

42. Smarter
in that it means the candidate has bragging rights to a larger number. The total donated is the same, but instead of 1 donation, then the candidate has 46 donations in their count.

Or so I assume

32. Which allows her to send robocalls.
In Texas, She who is much wiser than I and I have recieved 4 campaign calls so far.

Call #1: Robocall: Some nondescript local (supposed) democratic party functionary trying to veer us toward Hillary. We answered, but were unable to get beyond the undecipherable reverse labyrinth.

Call #2: Obama's campaign, real person: Asking whether we had decided. For grins, we said no. Thanked us and requested us to visit Barack Obama's website and call the HQ if we had any questions or concerns.

Call #3: Robocall: Barack Obama would be bad for Texas. Not many more details. (Don't they know anything about position reinforcement?)

Call #4: Did we have any questions about Sen. Obama's positions? Another real person. So I asked a question (to which I knew the answer). Answer was right.

Long and short -- the freakin robocalls have killed the HRC campaign and have sealed our family's vote (and there are 5 of us that vote). My wife, , me, and our 3 kids will max out donations to Barack and do everything in our power to defeat Hillary, then McCain. Hillary, you have created persons willing and eager to fight you.

41. The comparision is 52%-47%
That isn't as big a margin as popular belief suggests. We now know why Hillary gets as many votes as Obama but has substantially less donors: her base is working folks while Obama does best with the wealthiest Americans.
