Dick Morris on OReilly asserting that Texas Repubs are going to vote for Obama |
|
although he can't exactly say why. Basically along the same lines as what some of us have been saying though. They know McCain is going to win so they're leaving their own party temporarily to vote for BO.

If he was describing something to me that I was looking at, I'd assume my eyes were deceiving me.
When was the last time that twit was correct?

2. I've never really paid attention to him. |
|
It was just interesting the way he indicated that he felt Repubs were going to temporarily switch sides to vote for BO. Billo askedhim if they weredoing it because they thought he was a weaker candidate and he kind of wwaffled and then said something about not wanting a "democratic nixon" whatever that means.

12. I live in Texas, live in a Republican County, and go to a Rep. University |
|
They are all voting for Hillary, because they are scared of Obama.
Loyalty to their party instead of their country is disgusting.

So they can cross vote for Obama or Hillary for that matter.

8. A Texas Republican friend told me they resent the implication ... |
|
that Texas is just a "Mexican" state where you play to the Hispanic vote and win. Kind of a racist sentiment, but that's what he said and I'm sure that's part of the dynamic there. For every political action there's a counter-action.

10. Well, for whatever reason, it appears that there is a possibility that Republicans |
|
are voting for BO in the primary with intention of voting for McCain in the general. I think they're either afraid of Hillary or looking for a specific fight.

If it were occurring, if there were an organized movement to do so, we'd know about it. There are enough techs among us that one of us would have seen an email or a memo and leaked it. But hey, conspiracy theories are FUN!

20. According to my friend, it's more a gut reaction to Hillary looking at Texas |
|
as "Hillary country" because of the Hispanic vote. It's apparently becoming a turf war of sorts to decide whether the Hispanics or cowboys control Texas politics. I asked him whether there had been any organized effort and he said no, he just planned to vote for Obama and that several friends of his had indicated likewise.

11. Yes, it's clearly a conspiracy |
|
The Republicans are orchestrating Obama's nomination so that John McCain can blow him out of the water. I think we all saw how that matchup looked last night.

|
They were all geared up to do it in the general election, but worry that she might not make it there. So I guess it's now or never for them.

19. It's called Strategic Voting, and it is a common practice. |
|
You set up the opposition so that they end up with the easiest opponent for your favored candidate to oppose in the general.
You vote in the opponent's open primary, because your decision has been made, and vote with your own team in the general.
One of Obama's underlings sent out flyers telling Republicans to caucus for Obama in Nevada, to "stop Hillary." TPM had it in their archives.

his track record is just awful, almost as bad as Bill Kristol. Not part of the reality based community.
Sadly, if Hill doesn't get her shit together PDQ and win big in Texas and Ohio, her viability is in serious danger regardless of super delegates.
