1. I notice, though, that she is not planning on going to Wisconsin to
talk to the voters. She hits Obama on the declined debate, wanting to give the voters a chance to here the positions, yet won't tell them herself?

She is putting her time in there. Apparently, she is only putting money in attack ads in Wisconsin.

She is doing one fund raising event. Obama is going to do one fund raiser and a rally the same day, if I remember right.

7. To be fair, Obama is ahead now, and he does better reading
the speeches Teddy Sorenson is writing for him than he does debating. If the situation were reversed, Hillary would choose the option which suited her best. As for the best interests of the American people in their attempt to evaluate the candidates, when has that ever mattered?

of the QUESTIONS, giving Obama ample time to rehearse the answers. Isn't that why he was much stronger in the last debate? I thought so... his responses were scripted.

18. Oh, I get it....
people who do not live in Wisconsin have no business speaking about Obama's lack of nerve in debating there.

How many posts have you made about states in which you do not live in again?

That's right, Obamatons don't live in the real world. They can't be bothered with "issues" and debates. They live in a world full of "hope", where everything is pretty and fluffy.

No more debates for Obama. He'll just give more "hope" speeches and "hope" that people don't come to their senses and take a look behind his empty rhetoric before November.

It'll be yet another 15%+ asskicking - bank on it. HRC has an outside chance of hanging onto Ohio, but that's it for the rest of the races. Texas will be close, but I think Obama ultimately wins by 5% or so.

Last night I talked to my brother in Columbus. He was at an Obama organizing party.

He told me that there were as many as 2000 people looking to sign up for the campaign.

For a comparison, earlier this year he went to SEE John Edwards in the same building. He said that last nights attendance was three times as big as the attendance for what he saw for Edwards.

They've debated plenty. They have limited time to actually reach out to the voters in person. That's what both candidates need to concentrate on for the next few weeks.

53. To say that Obama hasn't been talking about the issues is
typically disingenuous. Keep grasping at those straws, as he has been talking issues as much as anyone else. And, from what I can tell, Hil isn't coming here until the Democratic dinner in Milwaukee Saturday night. But, I suppose she has campaigned here more than Obama, right? Can't wait for March 4th, so we can put this thing to bed.

13. Oh come on.
Quit faking outrage. You know the game as well as I do. If you're behind, you call for more debates. If you are ahead, you resist more debates.

So this should tell us who is ahead right now. And you had better believe that if Clinton were ahead and Obama were behind then it would be just the opposite. It would be Clinton who would be resisting more debates.

15. Meanwhile Hillary is dithering about debating Obama in Ohio
Sorry, but after twenty debates already, having a multitude more of them is foolish. Besides, Obama is making a strategic move here. Hillary is running short of cash and needs all the free exposure that she can get, hence the call for endless debates. Why should Obama help her out in her time of need? Rather force her to spend the precious cash on ads and bleed her dry.

The call for debates is a non-issue, and most intelligent people see it for what it is.

I haven't seen any. Obama's ad is on many times per day.

Because her poorly run campaign doesn't have the resources to air ads, Clinton is trying to make hay about a debate so she can get free face time on TV -- not because she's really interested in debating.

They are just candidates spewing their scripted statements and rebuttals.

None of the moderators are going to ask those tough questions and she damn well knows it.

I'll be 100% behind Hillary's call for Obama to debate her in Wisconsin when she also proposes that the candidates get to ask each other questions.

54. I think Obama fans are afraid of debates
HRC gets an uptick in the polls after every debate. That shows that she's articulate on the issues, no? Politicians need to know how to think on their feet, and it seems as if Obama can't do it as well as she can. She knows the issues inside and out.

18 debates or not, I'm sure the voters in WI wouldn't mind one. People tend to pay more attention to debates if they're located in their own states. It allows people to compare the candidates side by side. While it may not sway voters outside of the state much, I'm sure a debate would help voters in their own state decide. Are Obama voters so self-serving that they'd rather have him avoid debates b/c he doesn't do well in them, despite the fact that debates reach a wide audience of people who don't have the time to go to rallies all the time?

then the rug was pulled out from under them, it seemed the media was reporting like it was a done deal, some are understandably upset....

57. WI voters deserve to hear the issues
If Obama really wanted to reach out to a wide audience and have a substantive message, then he'd agree. Nothing more to it than that.

Now that we are down to two...shouldn't Debates be the MOST IMPORTANT?

The only person "afraid" of anything is Hillary Clinton, who is afraid of losing.

65. Hillary is out of cash and needs free publicity so she is begging for a debate
Anyone who has seen and watched politics knows that when a political candidate wants to debate (in this case after 18 debates), that they are out of money, running out of time and out for trying to get free publicity.

Hillary, you had your chance. You debated Obama 18 times. You can't say he is scared to debate you. He's not going to give you free press. Get lost.

67. Looks like Hillary's making a play for Wisconsin after all
From Saturday to Tuesday, she'll be in Eau Claire, Green Bay, Wasau, Milwaukee, and Yes, Madison. Though I think she is going to speak at monona and not the KC, but we'll see.

86. Who you callin' sweetie?
I'm just letting both you and anyone else know that it's an old stale tact to want to have debates when you're out of cash. Hillary has debated Obama plenty of times and she's obviously hoping to go for the Stupid Vote.
