Penn yelling at Grunwald: "Your ad doesn't work, the execution is all wrong"
Clinton Team Seeks to Calm Turmoil

-snip-
But the campaign has something of a shellshocked feel, as staffers privately chew over a blowup last week where internal frictions flared into the open. Clinton campaign operatives say it happened as top Clinton advisers gathered in Arlington, Va., campaign headquarters to preview a TV commercial. "Your ad doesn't work," strategist Mark Penn yelled at ad-maker Mandy Grunwald. "The execution is all wrong," he said, according to the operatives.

"Oh, it's always the ad, never the message," Ms. Grunwald fired back, say the operatives. The clash got so heated that political director Guy Cecil left the room, saying, "I'm out of here."

Adding to the sense of drama, an aide to Sen. Barack Obama yesterday declared the Clinton campaign all but doomed. Obama campaign manager David Plouffe said that Mrs. Clinton can't become the Democratic nominee without winning every remaining contest in "blowout form." In a conference call with reporters, he said that "even the most creative math" won't get her there.

1. It's probably normal for these advisors to have some yelling
contests. Especially now. I'm sure Obama and McCain aren't immune to these rave-ups.

5. what's bad isn't he yelling, but the fact that the infighting is being leaked to the press
it's symptomatic of the Clinton machine. It happened to Bill all during his tenure as president. their underlings can't keep their mouths shut.

6. Penn-Grunwald worked fine together for Lieberman2004. Or was that more stealth work

to attack Kerry, Edwards and Dean in 2003-4 from Hillary2008?

The SAME Grunwald who KNEW Rove outed Plame but chose to stay silent as Rove spent 2003 and 2004 running Bush campaign and smearing Wilson as a liar in the media.

7. very interesting
(Jonathan Mantz is Clinton campaign finance director.)

"Earlier this week, Mr. Mantz held a quick meeting in a hotel lobby in Washington with donors, some of whom are involved in the pro-Israel lobby AIPAC and were in town for other business."

13. Obama is called Mr. Obama at times
All legislators are referred to that way alternatively. You're looking too hard.

14. Difference: "Mr." designates the man himself; "Mrs." designates the woman's relationship TO a man.
Hence, "Ms."

15. Does she answer to Mrs. Clinton?
I've used Ms. since its inception. I don't believe Hillary made that choice.

10. OMG! Campaign staffers arguing with each other
Why, that's never happened before! :sarcasm:

Just more evidence that Obama and his backers in the corporate news media will go to any lengths to score points. Obama's deep connections to and assistance from corporate America are causing a great deal of concern among voters and rightfully so.
