25. They don't have to be democratic because it is a Democratic Party event.
Federal and state laws don't determine the rules for the delegates. The Democratic Party does.

It is representative of the votes received in past General Elections for the Democratic candidate. Each congressional district does not receive the same number of pledged delegates because their Democratic turnout is different.

It's not right to have voters that are not Democrats deciding who the nominee will be for the Democratic Party.

I agree with that. The system is pretty fucked up, and needs to be changed.

i thought the SD were going to vote the "will of the people" in their states?

19. I don't understand your point
Hillary won New Jersey 55 to 45

She had 12 out of 14 of the super delegates for 85% and now has 11 out of 14 for 75%. This move does represent bringing the split of superdelegates more in line with the will of the people of New Jersey not less.

http://thescotsman.scotsman.com/world/Obama-surge-stuns-Democrats.3766623.jp

"YOU won't have heard of her, but Christine Samuels, a New Jersey politician, has assured herself a footnote in the history of the United States's primary election process. This weekend she became the first so-called super delegate of the Democratic Party to swap sides, announcing that she had switched from Hillary Clinton to Barack Obama."
