Plea to Both Dem Candidates: HANG UNTIL THE CONVENTION NO MATTER WHAT!!! |
|
If Obama hasn't won a big state by then, who cares. If Clinton hasn't won Texas by then, so what.
Let's have a god-damned convention for once, instead of a coronation. Presumptiveness on both dem sides is ridiculous.
Paid operatives too chicken shit to reveal who the fuck they really are whilst they have to cloak themselves in fake handles to attack their other side deserves no god damned better anyway.
For those saying that their candidate is following the rules, the convention is in the freaking rules. Let's have a real one.

1. Allow me to express my disagreement. |

A brokered convention might be fun to watch. But it would be a disaster for our eventual nominee.

3. Skinner I think the race to the convention is great |
|
It gets and keeps Hillary and Obama supporters fired up. Along the way more democrats are getting involved. Whomever is the nominee is a win/win for the democratic party. Just my opinion.

you said it better than me, though. Oh, how tidy brevity can be and how I wish I wasn't so long winded.

I agree that it is fun to watch, but also good for us. Kerry had a coronation, and he wasn't ready for the real fight. I hope we have a rapple rousing convention.
But I'll agree to disagree if you will. :)

4. I disagree. March 4th is going to settle it in terms of the math. There is no good reason to |

15. Most of the supers are going to go with the elected pledged delegate numbers. Count on it! |
|
And the math favors Obama at this point.

let it go all the way. Let every state be an in play state.
When was the last time anybody gave a shit about the Texas Primary? I think all of this is good for the country.

13. Didn't you hear? Those states disqualified themselves when they broke the rules. |
|
Watch and learn about the rules.
The DNC has been very clear about this. Only Hill is feeling fuzzy about the rules.
This will be over sooner rather than later. Come March 5th, the math will prevail and it will all be over by the 10th or the 12th, by the time everyone has decided we do indeed have a nominee.
Hill has already verbally left herself this out. She herself said OH, TX, an PA are do or die. And if she eeks out narrow victories the math will still kick in.
She can soldier on and wreck the party all over again if she wants to I suppose, but I don't think it will get her far enough this time.

11. even better to start a primary a full freaking year out |

and not to berate, but it's "worst" not "worse". One may be "worse" than the other, but since the exemplifier "ever" is present... Kinda looks like I should get a brain, moran.

whether the Democratic Party thinks it's in a win-win situation (as I think we are) or a win-lose situtation.
I notice your avatar. If HRC is the nominee, will you be united behind her as soon as possible? I am truly asking an honest to God question, not trying to start a flame war.

14. What people are trying to say here... |
|
There's millions and millions of dollars-- and the enthusiasm of hundreds of thousands of people-- being used right now for the two most powerful Democrats in the country to batter the shit out of each other.
Meanwhile, John McCain is gathering the GOP around him, being given a chance to horde his money, and can safely start to ready his general election campaign without even worrying about being hit by the Democrats.
A bloodied Democratic nominee, staggering into September with a possibly divided party behind them, facing what in reality is probably the strongest GOP nominee they could have picked?
It's suicide. This needs to be settled in March.
