From Obama website
'A new statewide television ad in Wisconsin from the Obama campaign today highlights the 18 debates that Senator Obama and Senator Clinton have held – with 2 more on the way – and dismisses Senator Clinton’s attacks as “the same old politics of phony charges and false attacks.”'

The Hillary campaign's major them is "Everything doesn't count except the two things that really don't count (Michigan and Florida). Those two things count."

12. What's left to say?
It doesn't matter if there were eight, three or two people in the debates. What's new to say?

The only reason she wants to debate is to try and trap him in a "macaca" moment. Nothing more, nothing less.

Also, Obama's not exactly Bush in the debates. He can hold his own with Miss "I-Know-Everything-Because-I'm-a-Policy-Wonk."

There isn't much to discuss. By the 10th debate, they were rehashing over the same bullshit we've heard the past year. There are two more debates schedule and that is enough.

26. Is that like all the states that "don't count"?
I've never heard so much "doesn't count" crap. Caucuses don't count. Red States don't count. Open Primaries don't count. All debates with more then two candidates "don't count".

But Michigan and Florida DO Count even though the rules clearly stated that they don't count.

Clinton spin can make you nauseous.

17. Here's the best I could do.
Voice: After 18 debates, with 2 more coming, Hillary says Barack Obama is ducking debates? It's the same old politics of phony charges and false attacks. On healthcare, even Bill Clinton's own labor secretary says Obama covers more people than Hillary and does more to cut cost, saving $2500 for a typical family. Obama's housing plan, it stems foreclosures and cracks down on crooked lenders. That's change we can believe in.

14. This is perfect - HRC really picked the wrong strategy here.
She needed something more substantive than the debate-attack. I think she really hurt herself - you only get so many opportunities to present yourself to voters, and I believe even without the Obama ad they would have come away with the same conclusion as the Obama ad.

Obama's been here all week, Hil is gonna stop by Saturday night at the Democratic dinner. We have TV and have seen the many, many debates. Perhaps you don't have a TV? She just wants free face time, and hoping for a GOTCHA! moment. This, just like the Fla and Mi votes, are just the Clintons being disingenuous while pretending to be noble.

33. Except they have two debates scheduled.
Or do you think they should debate every day until the election ends? Hillary realizes her campaign is going down the toilet and this is her last chance of salvaging it. Obama, though, won't give in because it's a pathetic attempt to try and make this a major issue. Except it isn't, since the two are going to debate both in Ohio and Texas.

there already are two debates scheduled. Now, I'm sure that these candidates schedules are worked out long in advance, so they can actually campaign. Why would Hillary not ask for a debate in Wisconsin, BEFORE the Ohio and Texas dates? You think Barrack should go running to Hillary because she starts crying about a debate?

Obama is a class act!!!!!! I want everyone that cares to read this article - it says a lot about Obama and how he runs his campaign compared to Hillary's:

How Obama Finesses the Press
By Howard Kurtz

Washington Post Staff Writer
Monday, January 28, 2008; 9:57 AM

GREENSVILLE, S.C.--When reporters filed onto Barack Obama's press plane after his acrimonious debate with Hillary Rodham Clinton last week, one thing was noticeably missing amid the wine and snacks on the Boeing 737. There was no high-level campaign spinner to argue that Obama had gotten the better of the exchanges or that the verbal fisticuffs were part of some precisely calculated strategy. On the press bus the next day, mid-level aides dealt with travel logistics but made no attempt to shape the coverage.

In an age of all-out political warfare, the Obama campaign is a bit of an odd duck: It is not obsessed with winning each news cycle. The Illinois senator remains a remote figure to those covering him, and his team, while competent and professional, makes only spotty attempts to drive its preferred story lines in the press.

"There is no charm offensive from the candidate toward the press corps," says Newsweek correspondent Richard Wolffe. "The contact is limited. . . . They see the national media more as a logistical problem than a channel for getting stuff out."

As Obama's blowout victory in Saturday's South Carolina primary shows, an aloof attitude toward the media may not be a liability for a candidate with his oratorical gifts. Even the pundits' attempts to minimize his win by focusing on Obama capturing a quarter of the white vote--no small achievement in a three-way race--came after a week in which journalists talked about race far more than he did. But the contrast in his press strategy is striking, not just with Clinton's campaign -- which aggressively lobbies journalists around the clock -- but also with the Bush White House and the Clinton White House before that. And that, Obama aides say, is by design.

43. OK.. you really have to appreciate the irony here. She put all her eggs in a False Attack ad and ran
it in WI while she was down in Texas campaigning on the "only state she needs to win". Obama counters with a beautiful POSITIVE ad, spent all of 10 seconds of it completely nullifying her false attack and the rest of it on a positive, substantive message to the people of Wisconsin. He's been on the ground answering questions, touring factories and has 3 events scheduled for tomorrow.

Given that Hillary is short on cash, short on substance, losing the race and definitely losing in the credibility department, her badly managed campaign (and supporters who are shouting the same meme) have made yet another mistake. I guess talk is not so cheap after all. That worthless attack ad must have cost her a pretty penny in dollars and dignity.

Check it out. He exposes her, clearly, as a liar. Then he uses her obvious lie to build the case that she's also lying about him on health care and mortgages, crushing her key talking points. He ends with "change you can believe in", he's the truth teller. That was one of the best political ads ever. I wish he could figure a way to use it in PA & OH, it's a killer.

49. A classic, answers negative with the positive
and gives facts.

Ok, you all know I am biased in favour of BHO so my judgement may be off, but it is going to be seriously difficult to go negative on Obama. Defuse one negative attack and use it to feed your message, defuse the next and again feed your message; bit by bit you force your enemy deeper into the swamp. Those who can be convinced will feel they could support slowly come to be actual supporters. All the time you feed in the sort of praise your opponent does not want, For McCain that might be "50 years of service," "always fighting," "trusted by the president," "still carrying those terrible wounds gained so long ago,"

The plan seems to be they want the people who can to change their minds and care little about those who cannot change their minds.
