Poll question: A situation in which Superdelegate votes could be critical
What if after the primaries & caucus are finished and pledged delegates are assigned, one candidate has a slight lead in pledged delegates but the other candidate ends up with a slight lead in popular vote.

How should that be approached in the interest of democracy?

Should the Superdelegates......

1. If there's that type of mixed public mandate, they should simply vote for whoever they prefer,

and then abolish the idea of superdelegates to prevent this from happening again.

2. Pledged delegates.

Everyone has always known this to be a "fight for delegates."

Delegates determine nominees just as electors determine presidents.

That being said, popular votes is an interesting variable, as are the number of states won and ... land acreage for that matter.
