Clinton's congressional black support crumbling?
Clinton's congressional black support crumbling?
Rep. David Scott now sides with Obama; Rep. John Lewis waffling

WASHINGTON — In a fresh sign of trouble for Hillary Rodham Clinton, one of the former first lady's congressional black supporters from Georgia intends to vote for Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention, and a second, more prominent Georgia lawmaker is openly discussing a possible switch.

Rep. David Scott's defection and Rep. John Lewis' remarks highlight one of the challenges confronting Clinton in a campaign that pits a black man against a woman for a nomination that historically has been the exclusive property of white men.

'You've got to represent the wishes of your constituency,' Rep. David Scott said. His district gave more than 80 percent of its vote to Obama on Super Tuesday.

"You've got to represent the wishes of your constituency," Scott said in an interview Wednesday in the Capitol. "My proper position would be to vote the wishes of my constituents." The third-term lawmaker represents a district that gave more than 80 percent of its vote to Obama in the Feb. 5 Georgia primary.

Lewis, whose Atlanta-area district voted 3-to-1 for Obama, said he is not ready to abandon his backing for the former first lady. But several associates said the nationally known civil rights figure has become increasingly torn about his early endorsement of Clinton. They spoke on condition of anonymity, citing private conversations.

5. You need to STFU
I am so tired of you cult members putting the Clintons down and trying to tell those of us who support them that we should support Obama. What has Obama ever done for those of us in black America other than steal our history. Obama is the son of an African immigrant, yet he tries to act like the he is a descandant of slaves. He is such an empty suit who will be crushed in a general election and no one will suffer more than black america for supporting his sorry ass.

6. Thanks for this, I'm getting mad as hell at this too.
I never thought I would see people throwing Clinton's under the bus, and by those in my community too. I'm heartbroken at what they have allowed to happen to her, and cast her as some evil demon.

I'm pissed off.

8. Don't take that person as representative of all Obama voters
Not by a long shot. That particular person has been much more vile than most.

"ell those of us who support "THEM"" I thought HRC was running alone? This underscores out point. He had his 8 yars -- with NAFTA to boot.

person he was ever friends with or went to school with or worked with?

He is part of black america even if his father was from Kenya.

Also I don't remember he ever "stole" your heritage. Got a quote?

P.S. I was putting down Clintons long before I ever heard of Sen. Obama

4. This news is out of date already...
It's no longer a "possibility that he might swing his support behind Barack Obama."

Apparently it's now official.

7. Gee...yathink Clinton's stuuupid comment about MLK's words not so important...it took a president...
...a white president at that....to pass the civil rights act....when....amazing enough....it took a Congress.....had anything to do with this?

The clinton camp are good race baiters. in fact they are master baiters.
