Hillary Wins New Mexico - Go, Hillary, Go!!! |
|
Hillary issued the following statement after winning New Mexico, including 27 of New Mexico's 33 counties, and 14 of the state's 26 delegates:
I am so proud to have earned the support of New Mexicans from across the state.
From strengthening the economy to providing health care for every American to jumpstarting a clean energy future, New Mexicans want real solutions to our nation's challenges.
As president, I will continue to stand up for New Mexico and will hit the ground running on day one to bring about real change.

18. Missouri was barely a win either, so was a few of other states Obama won |
|
In fact Missouri was a tie, 36 delegates each and Hillary won 110 of 115 counties.
Hillary won NM with 14 delegates to 12 for Obama and by 1000 votes if you play by Obama's playbook.
Alabama well Obama won by 14% and only took 1 delegate more than she did, 26 to 25.
So whats it to be?

20. He can afford it, she can't |
|
There is some true math going on here...
If Obama wins by a small margin - he will get the nomination.
If Hillary wins by a small margin from today on - Obama still wins the nomination.
Obama can afford to win small, Hillary has to win Huge by 60-65% margins to even think about catching him in delegates.

An essentially tied race between two pretty much identical candidates, both of whom, in my opinion, are way down on the list of people I would LOVE to see as president.
At least that's how I think it is.
On edit ..... I bet you mistook my for an Obama supporter. You would be dead wrong if you did.
"So whats it to be?"
Indeed.

24. Clinton won by 1,709 votes - 3 ballot boxes went home with party boss |
|
The New Mexico Democratic Primary has another problem -3 Uncounted ballot boxes spent the night with party bosses. There was a 217 vote margin between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton out of 136 thousand ballots cast - at that time.
From New Mexico political reporter Heath Haussaman: Uncounted Rio Arriba County ballots raise eyebrowsThe New Mexico Democratic Party caucus may be tainted by three ballot boxes that spent the night in the home of the Rio Arriba County party chair or the homes of other local election officials instead of being reported to the state party. ... Several sources told me the ballot boxes spent the night at the home of Rio Arriba County Democratic Party Chair Theresa Martinez, whose state-lawmaker husband, Sen. Richard Martinez, endorsed Hillary Clinton. But Richard Martinez told Santa Fe New Mexican reporter Kate Nash that the boxes actually spent the night in the homes of three polling-place managers. He gave Nash no explanation for why the results from those ballots weren’t reported to the state party last night and why they were instead kept overnight in officials’ homes. ...The Obama and Clinton campaigns should have lawyers there trying to figure out what’s happening and ready to act if necessary. My understanding is that Obama attorneys are already on their way. The state party needs to quickly resolve this and tell the public how it’s going to allay fears that the election process is tainted beyond repair. http://haussamen.blogspot.com/2008/02/uncounted-rio-arriba-county-ballots.html

19. She won 1 more delegate then Obama .. 13-12 - not exactly a huge win.. |
|
If she does this in Ohio, Texas and PA she will lose the nomination.
