James Carville now trying to reframe Hillary as the comeback kid
Last night on Larry King long time Hillary supporter James Carville said if she wins in OH, TX and PA it would be the "greatest comeback in political history."

The night before he said if she loses either of the above mentioned states, she's not going to win the nomination.

Of course, if anybody has made the greatest comeback in political history - it's Obama and he has already done it! Considering he was just a footnote last summer in Hillary's presumptive coronation, I think Obama has already shown a remarkable penchant for defying the odds.

The next couple of weeks leading up to March 4th will potentially be the ugliest we have seen yet. There are already humorous headlines referring to Clinton stepping up the attack on Obama. She and Bill will bring in every ounce of political weight, every person who owes them political favors, and every opportunity to define and frame the battle.

Obama is the true underdog here and my hope is his camp will fight on as if he is still 30 points behind. I am very hesitant to proclaim any kind of inevitability of an Obama nomination until Obama wins in TX, OH, or PA. Some pundits are suggesting that a Hillary lose in either TX or OH on March 4 signals a good reason to exit the race.

Till then, not only does Barack need to counter punch - but go on the attack as well. Hopefully, neither candidate will go too negative, but that is usually what happens in the final throes of a campaign. When the dust settles, I'm still optimistic our nominee will be Obama and his wins will be convincing enough to not have a convention battle.

But I'm not ready to brag about it.

1. Yeah? So?
Its a political campaign. People doing political shit in a political campaign is hardly news.

5. It's all about the war stoopid
Obama should pound Clinton on the IWR, Kyl/LIEberman, her no-show on telecom immunity, and the bankruptcy flip flop. The one bill she's sponsored since she's been in the senate? The very republican Flag Burning...great work there Mrs. Clinton

10. And pound away is right...
Some Clinton talking heads in the corporate M$M like to question if Obama has the "toughness" to take on the pukes. I have no doubts there, but he should consider these next 2.5 weeks as a perfect spring training for the GE.

The Clinton camp will be relentless and are now in desperation mode. Obama needs to fight on his toes and not let Hillary define the debate - he has not seen yet what is about to hit him.

6. Carville is a traitor to the party, as well as the concept of democracy:
Did Carville Tip Bush Off to Kerry Strategy (Woodward)

By M.J. Rosenberg | bio

On page 344, Woodward describes the doings at the White House in the early morning hours of Wednesday, the day after the '04 election.

Apparently, Kerry had decided not to concede. There were 250,000 outstanding ballots in Ohio.

So Kerry decides to fight. In fact, he considers going to Ohio to camp out with his voters until there is a recount. This is the last thing the White House needs, especially after Florida 2000.

-snip

"Carville told her he had some inside news. The Kerry campaign was going to challenge the provisional ballots in Ohio -- perhaps up to 250,000 of them. 'I don't agree with it, Carville said. I'm just telling you that's what they're talking about.'

Globalism extends to the American way of campaigning, it seems, and the hubris of the gringo strategists — earnest ex-Clintonistas employed by James Carville’s Greenberg Carville Shrum group — would be hilarious if human lives and a country’s political will weren’t at stake.
It’s a galling and provocative experience to viewers of any political persuasion, and a reminder to the left of how easily idealism can run amok.
The Carville boys were hired by Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada, a.k.a. ‘‘Goni,’’ a patrician Bolivian businessman who served a rough term as Bolivia’s president in the mid-’90s. Goni’s legacy was an unsuccessful program of ‘‘capitalization’’ (i.e., he welcomed foreign investment and watched foreigners get all the jobs).
By 2002, the time of filming, unemployment is through the roof and rural campesinos are agitating for political representation. Goni is old news and his poll numbers are dismal. Enter Jeremy Rosner, Greenberg Carville Shrum’s point man in Bolivia, an articulate manipulator of mass moods (and a fellow who bears an uncanny resemblance to Seth Meyers of ‘‘Saturday Night Live’’ — reality parodies itself here better than any comic could).

14. Yep
We sure as heck don't need the likes of him to spell things out for us. He should just park himself in his dead ugly living room and stay there.

Hillary can still come back and win it, so it's not time to get complacent.
