Has anyone been an Obama supporter for a few years?
I have been following Obama since I read his 2002 Iraq War speech back in early 2004. I have been wanting him to make a presidential run since 2005 or so.

I find it funny that all these Obama bashers are on here saying that he a flip flopper and that he is just an incredibly good speaker who is preaching in order to get votes. The guy has pretty much had the exact same message since I first started following him (long before he decided to make a presidential run).

The guy has consistently talked about points and shared a vision that I totally agree with. NO progress is getting made in our country right now. Yes, I might not agree with Obama on all of his pollitical issues, though I do on most.

The reason I am voting for Obama is because "he get's it". I really dont know how to explain it but the first time I heard him speak and every time since then I get that same message. He understands how we must change a mindset of a country in order to create real change throughout politics and our society. It is unfortunate that this is the way that change must be restored but I feel as though it is the only way it will get done.

This is the main difference between him and Hillary. The difference to me like black and white (no pun intended). They both are talking about two totally different ways of getting things done.

I dunno, I am just sick of hearing people bash Obama and Hillary for insane reasons. I find that most of the Hillary supporters that will say I am caught up in "Obamamania" are actually the ones caught up in it and vice versa. They are both good candidates.

I don't think Hillary is a bad person at all. I just feel as though everyone here is caught up this big ass "war" that the media has created between the two candidates. Take a step back, breath....and smile because the democrats are back

1. Getting things done
That's one of my main reasons for supporting him. The government is broken and it's got to be fixed. He has that wonky way of seeing a problem and working to solve it. He is idealistic and pragmatic at the same time. But no, I didn't know much about him before this year.

urged him to consider running. Nice letter returned to me.. I initially went with Biden because of his years of experience, still wish Biden was in the race, but O'Bama's the man now..(I'm Irish, couldn't resist it)....
