Here's Conyers blog its wall to wall Obama news - http://www.johnconyers.com/blog

This is the script of the John and Monica Conyers radio ad, which will be broadcast on Detroit-area stations. Monica Conyers is president pro-tem of the Detroit City Council.

MALE: THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IS CONFUSING. I WANT TO VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA BUT OBAMA'S NAME IS NOT ON THE BALLOT.

FEMALE: THERE IS NO ONE ON THAT BALLOT I WANT TO BE PRESIDENT.

MALE: WELL, THESE FOLKS CAN HELP US. EXCUSE ME, CONGRESSMAN CONYERS AND COUNCILWOMAN CONYERS, WE NEED YOUR HELP.

FEMALE: HOW CAN WE VOTE FOR OBAMA ON TUESDAY?

Rep. Conyers: YOU CAN'T. YOU CANNOT EVEN WRITE IN OBAMA'S NAME. IF YOU DO YOUR VOTE WILL NOT COUNT BECAUSE OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN CHOSE NOT TO PLACE HIS NAME ON THE MICHIGAN BALLOT SO AS NOT TO VIOLATE NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY RULES. BUT YOU CAN VOTE UNCOMMITTED

Councilwoman Conyers: IF AT LEAST 15% OF THE PEOPLE VOTE UNCOMMITTED, THE STATE DEMOCRATIC PARTY MUST SEND THAT PERCENTAGE OF DELEGATES TO THE NATIONAL CONVENTION UNCOMMITTED.

Rep. Conyers: MY WIFE AND I ARE VOTING UNCOMMITTED. WE WILL WORK WITH THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY TO MAKE SURE THAT UNCOMMITTED DELEGATES GO TO THAT CONVENTION TRULY UNCOMMITTED SO THAT OBAMA CAN COMPETE FOR THEIR VOTE.

MALE: THANK YOU CONGRESSMAN CONYERS AND COUNCILWOMAN CONYERS. I WILL JOIN YOU AND VOTE UNCOMMITTED ON TUESDAY.

FEMALE: ME TOO - AT LEAST MY VOTE WON'T BE WASTED

Councilwoman Conyers: THIS TRUTH IN POLITICS MESSAGE WAS PAID FOR BY FRIENDS OF MONICA CONYERS

or Kucinich). Don't feed me the BS about how Dennis "meant to". He actually campaigned there.

3. A better question is why Obama took his name off?
He cared oh so much about the pledge that he took his name off the ballot!

But when FL rolled around he sought special permission to run ads there on cable TV as part of his national ad buy. He could have waited a week to run this.

I wonder why such drastic measure were needed for one state but not the other.

Hmm could it be that IA & NH already had their elections and those tow states were the most concerned with their status as 1st in the nation?

14. Your pathetically trying to imply that he was running the
ads as a way to win in FL. Even though he was saying loudly in public that FL results didn't count.

21. He was. He knew the ads would FL, he sought permission to run them anyway.
He could have waited a week.

The pledge meant so much to him that he took the extreme measure of removing his name from the ballot.

But when the decision came to delay a national ad buy a week so he would be within the spirit of the pledge against campaigning he sought special permission..

The contrast shows his MI move was pure political theater.

33. hmmmm
What part of

Hillary Clinton: "Well, you know, It's clear, this election they're having is not going to count for anything"

are you not understanding?

She blatantly said that MI does not count, and is now saying it should count.

Which time was she telling the truth?

5. If I recall she chose not to remove her name from the ballot, (some did, some
didn't - it was up to the candidate) - but she did agree not to campaign there.

She was the only one of the top tier -- and the close second tier - who opted to keep her name on it.

8. Simple she said that MI didn't count for anything.
The same logic she uses for MI applies to FL too.

NHPR's Laura Knoy: "So, if you value the DNC calendar, why not just pull out of Michigan? Why not just say, Hey Michigan, I'm off the ballot?"

Hillary Clinton: "Well, you know, It's clear, this election they're having is not going to count for anything"

9. Other
There was no requirement to remove their names. The others did to pander to the early states, and because they knew they'd lose there.

Kucinich was the only one not competent enough to remove his name, after saying he would.
