Wisconsin - so my "Christian" outlaws are voting for....
Obama!!!!

Cannot believe it - very nice people, BUT just a hair shy of being fundies.

"Outlaws" means they are the parents of my daughter-in-law -- who is also voting Obama.

My very own son is remaining cagey as to his sentiments.

Going to get my yard signs tomorrow if this freakish weather permits.

1. GObama!
My fundie/near fundie family is also voting for Obama. They're not at all happy with McCain, and I honestly think they'd prefer the flames of hell licking their feet to Clinton.

2. My fundie in laws have been making the same sort of noises...
of course they haven't said for sure yet, but my husband is convinced they are just saying that to speed along the rapture...
good luck with yard signs, if we put ours out now they would be on top of 5 foot snow piles, and supposedly we're getting another slobberknocker thru WI Sun... :wtf:

3. Get some 8 or 10 foot pvc pipe. Duck tape the sign into them and use the poles to mark snow depth!
The PVC will bend in the wind. I think it will work!

6. I can believe it...
it's been my impression for the last month that people are voting for real change. No more insiders, no more old senators. Obama has inspired the base and I hope he has the answers because he certainly has the support.

7. you may have trouble getting signs locally. You may have to buy on the web.
We were able to get some when we went canvassing.

8. Up here in WA
People are making their own.

I only see signs for two candidates. Paul (a few) and Obama (many). Half the Obama signs are hand-drawn labors of love posted in the yards and windows of houses.

If you can't find your signs, Make 'em.

PS the bumber stckers break down pretty much the same way. I have yet to see any other candidates represented.

10. Coffee talk
My friend stopped last weekend to introduce a new teacher from her school. The lovely lady, a graduate of Princeton and Yale, had moved to Maine from Texas. Anyway, as the chat proceeded she told me that her republican parents, still living in Texas, will be voting for Obama. They aren't trying to screw up the Democratic vote; they aren't voting against Clinton. No. They agree with what Obama has to say. Just some average Americans who are sick of living in a divided country that can't seem to move into the future.

Now this experience concerns only two people which does not mean anything in the scheme of things....or maybe it does.
