2. You do know it's a parody right?
It's not a real ad. And I don't see anything really sexist about it anyway.

5. Whaddaya want? They're appealing to eighteen year old CHILDREN.
Children who have the vote. And who think that shit is "funny" and "cool."

Racism is a no-no, sexism is alive and well in America. After all, it's "just girls."

Do I need to pull out the :eyes: and the :sarcasm: tags?

America hasn't come such a "long way, baby" after all.

analyses of the nomination race, I'm absolutely certain this ad will command their attention.

That shit's nasty and if I were Obama, I would be suing them for implying he wears that crap.

But, keep on reaching for the straws stars.

11. I would call that parody...
as opposed to sexist. It's funny!

But the real sexist and racial crap out there will be thrown at the nominee until November, so we'll all have to get used to it.

driveway of whoever makes Axe deoderant and threaten to burn the joint down if they don't withdraw these ads.

Those misogynist pigs will pay for this, dammit!

17. The sexism is quite blatant to anyone without
the 'bamablinders' on.

It insinuates that a woman (Hillary)
would change her life and give up all
she is working for simply because a
man (Obama) smells good. Like she
has no control over her hormones and
sexuality.

27. If someone disagrees with you, they "don't get it"? O BOY.
It could be that others have a point and you are the one not fielding all the points.

I'm not sure of course, but it's my guess that Senator Clinton's campaign will not issue a statement demanding that this ad be withdrawn.

26. Hi, citizen_jane. Nah. That ain't it.
This is an extremely marginal ad in an already marginal ad world -- that is, I don't even buy Axe as a product any more than you do (if you don't, I mean).

And neither of us is going to choose our candidate based on an ad, even a good ad, nevermind a marginal one.

This is an ad more akin to MAD magazine parody and not a serious assault on women.

"More sexist crap" is a poorly chosen phrase when there are better uses of our consideration of the party's candidates.

Men aren't voting for Obama because he has a wiener. And many women are supporting Obama as well, quite a few prominent feminists among them.

That tosses the "sexist" or "misogynist" argument out into the alley, IMO.

_ _ _ _

I hope you are doing well and are thiving in these long winter months.

20. I don't see the sexism.
Perhaps it's because I'm only vaguely familiar with the product. But aren't we being a little oversensitive? I mean it's a joke. For instance when Gov. Rendell, with Sen. Clinton standing right next to him, stated that he thought (paraphrasing) Clinton would win PA, because of racial tension among white voters, I didn't get mad. ....Only fired up.

...wearing an Obama button is NOTHING compared to the Clinton's racial attacks and innuendos in South Carolina. Where Barack trounced them anyway! Hee-hee!
