Bill Clinton spars with anti-abortion protestor @ Ohio event

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/02/17/674452.aspx#comments

And Bill spars with another?
Posted: Sunday, February 17, 2008 7:32 PM by Mark Murray

At a later event today in Steubenville, OH, Bill Clinton snapped hard at an anti-abortion protestor who had interrupted him.

“I gave you the answer. We disagree with you," Clinton said. "You wanna criminalize women and their doctors and we disagree... I reduced abortion… Tell the truth, tell the truth… If you were really pro-life, if you were really pro-life, you would want to put every doctor and every mother as an accessory to murder in prison. And you won’t say you wanna do that because you know that because you know that you wouldn't have a lick of political support. Now, the issue is who … the issue is, you can't name me anybody presently in politics that did more to introduce policies that reduce the number of real abortions instead of the hot air putting out to tear people up and make votes by dividing America."

“This is not your rally. I heard you. That's another thing you need is a president, somebody who will stick up for individual rights and not be pushed around, and she won't."

that if there were more abortions there would be less people killed by crazy people! I wonder if Manson's mom had it all to do over again she would have aborted... lets see that would be 5-7 lives saved? Society should endorse abortions instead of making women become mothers who shouldn't ever have a child! You Rock, Bill!

And, no, I really don't know the circumstances behind all the killings...just sayin'

62. This is one of the many reasons why a Democrat, Barrack OR Hillary MUST BE ELECTED
Let no one delude themselves that if mccain becomes president because we don't stand together that the Supreme Court WILL OVERTURN Roe V Wade, then you haven't been paying attention

Among the other things mccain has said regarding abortion was that he supported the South Dakota ban on abortion, which made it illegal EVEN IF THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER WAS AT STAKE

This is for future generations, and if either Obama OR Clinton supporters say they won't support the Democratic nominee, then they deserve the loss of the civil rights that WILL result as a consequence of those actions

Perhaps the ONLY justification I could understand is if they seat MI and FL without a redo

77. He should have told the loudmouth
that if he/she were so pro-life that he/she wouldn't have time to attend rallies because of the number of unwanted children he/she were caring for...

84. After his smarmy comments in SC, I will not hold a great amount of respect for Bill Clinton again.
 I won't forget that "Lee Atwater impersonation." All that was missing was Bill Clinton donning mirrored sunglasses. :(

90. haha i got confronted by the anti-abortion crowd at the college dems convention
they gave me a pamphlet about how "pro-death" the Clintons were. I then asked one of the guys if was so pro-life did he support healthcare? and he said "yeah I support it, I have it." So I said "do you support it for everyone?" And he goes, "I think you should have to earn it."

91. Nice! I wonder what Obama would say, confronted with this kind of protester --
"I don't exactly agree with your position. I trust women to make prayerful decisions about their own pregnancies. But look, this is the kind of stale old issue from the past that we need to move beyond. Pro-life? Pro-choice? Do we really want to keep fighting the same old fights of the boomer generation? When they're so uncool? And so old now too?

Look at it this way: one of my twenty-year-old acolytes may go home tonight so excited about her epiphany here that she has unprotected sex with her boyfriend and gets pregnant. Should she raise that child? Should she exercise her right to choice and terminate the pregnancy? People of good will can disagree about either of those decisions, but can't we at least agree that, whatever she does with that child, it's a lot less of a mistake or a sin than if some pudgy, middle-aged Hillarite has sex with anyone at all? -- Old people sex is gross!

In an Obama America, we'll be able to get beyond the fruitless pro-life/pro-choice debates of the last century, and come together around a common purpose: criminalizing sex over 30! Are you with me, friend?"

93. It's about damn time someone told the idiots off
the right is anti-women and in no way pro-life.
