We sold our nation
The young people brought an end to the Vietnam war. This country was on its way to an evolving democracy. One that goes along the lines of the Swedes or the French. The people ruled the country. Protest was a normal way of life. Then came Jimmy Carter. With Carter we could have gone a long way to an evolved democracy that was awaiting this great nation. But for some reason people had other ideas about what was good for this nation and elected the first person who changed the direction this country down the hill we find it today.

Ronald Regan brought a revolution that put the USA back into the 17th century when a king ruled this nation. But it was not to be one king. It was to be many kings from many boardrooms. They call them CEO's. They decided they wanted control of this nation. Regan helped them start the control. H W Bush just pushed it along. Clinton came along and tried to stop it, but he also got caught up in it by taking major donations from these people. G W Bush just put the icing on the cake. He sold this nation more than any other president before him.

In the 80's these corporations marginalized their greatest enemy the Youth of this great nation. They led them into materialism that brought a falling away from the great cause to keep government in check. They then went after the middle class. Locking them into so much debt that they could not spare one day to protest. They had mortgages, 2 vehicles and 2 kids who wanted everything in the world. The CEO's then decided it was in their best interest to sell the nation to the Saudis and the Chinese. They used large amounts of energy and encouraged the people to do the same. They ten started producing large quantities of goods in China and other eastern countries. These people got rich. As our government spent more money and locked us into more debt. These 2 nations bought most of our debt. We now find ourself 9 trillion the hole and counting.

If we choose to go energy independent the Saudis will immediately threaten to sell all our debt and the dollars they own on the open market and we would have to go back to buying oil from them. If we took production back from the Chinese and got our people to work quality jobs from quality wages again then they will threaten to do likewise. We are in a catch 22 situation.

We need leadership that is not beholden to the corporations. One leader who can say to them if you take any more production out of the USA we are going to tax you into oblivion. One who will make all those corporations with currency sitting outside the USA to bring it back to the USA to work for the people of the USA. The only person I see bringing back our nation from the control of these foreign countries if Barak Obama. We will loose with Hilary and McCain they are Washington insiders. But Barak is an outsider. Even if we lost with Obama we can say we tried. The young people are once again saying we have a voice. They are putting that voice to work for Obama. We need to stand with them and support them because they are the future. Lets give control of this nation back to the people.
