Do-or-die Hillary turns bully as Obama starts to pull away

Do-or-die Hillary turns bully as Obama starts to pull away

With her rival ahead in the polls and wooing her bedrock Hispanic and female voters, Clinton is trying to force her way back with a risky strategy that could split her party
Sarah Baxter, Columbus, Ohio

THERE is an air of desperation in Hillary Clinton’s camp. The New York senator has embarked on a door-die mission to hector and bully her way to victory, putting her on a potential collision course with Democratic party leaders.

It is a risky strategy that could leave her more isolated and unpopular as voters defect to Barack Obama, the new front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination. Obama, 46, is being tarred as a cultish, messianic figure who talks big but cannot deliver.

Clinton, 60, is being driven into her last redoubts as white women, blue collar workers and Hispanics – her core supporters – have begun to peel away. In public she is adopting a feistier tone and a more populist message against the Illinois senator in a bid to stem her losses.

8. I think the poster meant this innocently personally not as an attack. It is just a saying 4 the end.

2. She is a traitor to the Democratic Party
Teaming up with McCain to attack Obama on the campaign finance issue. Her intentions are as crystal clear as ever now, and the camel's back has now been broken.

3. Oh good lord, put a cork in this ridiculous and fallacious meme
X is a bad person
X believes in Y
Y is bad because X believes in it.
If you believe in Y, you are a bad person.

:puke:

Take that argument into any Intro to Logic 101 class and you will get a sterling "F" for the day. That McCain also wants to adhere to public-financed campaigns is not a reason to oppose it here. Obama should accept the limitations in the general election, as should Clinton.

5. I logged out to see the response below me, my rebuttal
The Clintons left Kerry out to dry in 2004, they are now apparently willing to get even more aggressive this time around to ensure that Hil can run in 2012. Why in the FUCK would she team up with a Republican to try to damage Obama's chances in the GE? I was honestly going to vote for her in the GE if necessary (which it probably won't be), but I seriously can't vote for someone who is going to be this blatant about damaging our party. It's ALL about the Clintons, they think the Democratic Party exists to serve them, and I have had it!

6. Are you just making this up as you go along?
There is an issue here of public financing for campaigns. There's nothing else to it, and all this ninnying and whining about 2012 and other :tinfoilhat: nonsense just makes you look more foolish.

Besides, isn't one of Obama's overarching campaign ideals is that he will reach across to Republicans, put an end to the acrimony and the "Clinton way" and all that? But now that Clinton dares to agree with a Republican on this issue, now she is a sell-out and a traitor?
