its not just GDP that's arguing sexist/racists re: Hill/Obama |
|
buzzflash has decided to back one of them and the buzzflash family is arguing about it.
sexism is world wide, all colors - part of the men's war against women
racism is a thousand splinters of local action around the world. (what's racism in one place, is not in another, etc.)
sexism is constant, world wide.
so the two cannot be compared.
and they can't be dealt with in the same ways.

I read the editorial.
It's telling to note Karlin accuses the Clintons of painting Obama as 'the black candidate' but ignores that the Obama campaign does the same thing, when it's to their benefit.
It's like the 'n' word that some AAs will use in private, but get into an uproar when a white person they don't know is 'down with it,' if you know what I mean, uses it.
The problem is, this campaign is not a private issue, it's a national referendum and if BO goes in front of a black crowd and says he wants to fulfill MLK's dream, then he is opening himself up to legitimate criticism from those who, to paraphrase, 'knew MLK and BO is no MLK.'
On the opposite side of the coin, Jesse Jackson Jr. went on TV and was all over HC's alleged tears, accusing her of playing damsel to win sympathy points. Karlin glosses right over that and pins it all on Chris Matthews.
I'm just one of those women who have had enough hypocrisy and will continue to call the Obama campaign on its shit.
