Will either candidate anounce their VP choice during the primary?
This year, it might be a good strategy to break the apparent deadlock.

4. no - and there is no deadlock at the moment.
As things stand now Obama holds a small but significant lead. Unless Clinton can pull of some big upsets over the next few weeks, she is done.

5. It looks like neither will get the required number of delegates
without Superdelegates, many of who are standing pat at the moment.

I call that a deadlock.

6. The Superdelegates aren't going to vote?
Divide them 50-50 and Obama wins. Divide them proportional to the elected delegate count and Obama wins. The only scenario where Obama loses, barring a Clinton upset in the remaining primaries, is if the superdelegates go to Clinton by a disproportionate number. I do not think that scenario is realistic. The reality is that Obama has a clear lead, a lead that is insurmountable unless Clinton has a stunning series of lopsided victories.

7. Give the 7% edge that Clinton has with voters who are self-described
as Democrat, and she takes more Superdelegates, since there are no indpendents or republicans.

Any speculation now is just speculation. Let the voters and superdelegates speak. This may be a brokered convention.

8. right - lets just take away the folks who voted for Obama
in sufficient nunmbers so that we can pretend our gal won. Do you have any idea how foolish you appear?
