Hillary's MI co-chair: Red-state voters are "second-class" citizens.

A co-chairman of Hillary's Michigan campaign has a line that's sure to drive a whole bunch of red state governors up the wall:

"Superdelegates are not second-class delegates," says Joel Ferguson, who will be a superdelegate if Michigan is seated. "The real second-class delegates are the delegates that are picked in red-state caucuses that are never going to vote Democratic."

Yeah, that's exactly the kind of thinking we need going into '08. Fuck Iowa, fuck Virginia, fuck Kansas, fuck Missouri, fuck Colorado, fuck Louisiana, fuck Alabama, fuck Georgia. We don't need to flip any red states. We'll just win the Kerry states and the rest of the country can go be Republican. And screw the Democratic red-state Senators, governors, and representatives--the only states that count are the states that will vote for Hillary in the GE. If you don't live in a Hillary-voting state, you are a second-class voter electing second-class delegates.

I'm sure that Texans and Ohioans will be happy to hear this.

There's a reason that Obama's largest win percentage-wise was in Idaho. Hillary has shown she doesn't give a shit about us, and Obama has had a huge presence in the state. The largest single caucus in the nation was in Boise, Idaho where Obama received about 85% of the vote.

29. A night I'll never forget!

I was disappointed after hearing that this would be the last "super caucus" for Idaho, but I realize we have probably outgrown caucuses. Still, the energy and noise coming from inside Qwest Arena was incredible, and it will be difficult gaining that kind of boost to the party again.

30. The rally was amazing too

We got to Perkins on Broadway at 6 AM when they opened, and by the time we finished eating breakfast, Broadway was backed up in both directions for as far as I could see. I took a double-super-secret back way and parked in the US Bank building parking lot on Broadway. By that time, the line stretched from the arena, across the arena parking lot and nearly to Broadway (at least 1/2 a mile).

Unfortunately, I missed the caucus because of an emergency with one of my clients. I'd really hoped to experience it, but just the fact that there is so much PASSION for a Democrat in Idaho is amazing.

6. Talk about a distortion of words and context. He is referring to the importance

of winning the large state contests and swing states in a GE, which Obama has yet to show he can do, but Hillary has. She is also leading in OH and PN, won in FL. Nobody has won since the 60's without winning at least two of those swing states.

He wasn't saying the delegates were second class citizens (you put that word in), he was talking about the process and what it takes to win.
