FACT: No matter WHO the nominee is, the MSM is going to tear them limb from limb. |
|
The MSM has a vested interest in keeping the Republican machine alive and thriving.
If you hate either Senator Clinton or Senator Obama, no need to post 800 billion times venting your ANGER! And FRUSTRATION! And RAGE! Because the MSM will do it for you.
There is NO perfect candidate. So when stuff like this (plagiarizing etc) comes up, read up and be prepared to fight it. Fight the STORY, not each other.
I'm saying these things because I believe that all this hatred here over the two candidates is just going to make it easier for the Republicans to win. We laugh when the Freepers attack eachother... do you not think they are laughing at us now?

1. The plagiarising thing may hurt him in the GE a little bit, but I doubt it. |
|
no one will care about stuff like this in the general imo. But then any thing could. I think it may be too late to hurt him in the primaries.

2. I think the primaries are basically in the bag, one way or the other. |
|
Most people have decided who they are going to vote for. Making a big deal out of this story will likely not sway people one way or the other.

8. I see it as BOTH sides attacking the other. Frankly, I see WAY |
|
more Hillary hatred here than I do Obama.
That's not to say BOTH sides aren't wrong for what they are doing.

You're right, the MSM will cream the Dem nominee. But what scares me is what happens AFTER A DEM IS ELECTED?
I don't see the MSM rallying behind either an Obama or a Clinton presidency.
Will the MSM go easier on President Obama or easier on President Clinton? It would seem that many here think the MSM would try harder to destroy Clinton, but I'm not so sure, as yet, anyway.

11. Remember who the Republican nominee is: John McCain |
|
He's still a media darling. The media STILL refers to him as a "maverick," repeatedly, even after his many flip-flops.
Yes, they're infatuated with Obama now, but I highly doubt that will last, if he's running against McCain.
Of course, it's a given that they'll go after Hillary hard (or "the Clintons," to bolster their so-called argument). But don't think they won't try to trash ANY Democrat. Swiftboat, anyone? The media didn't start that, but they sure did encourage it by giving the swiftboaters TV time and newspaper space.

12. Problem Is, I'm Not Sure Obama Has The Experience To Handle That, When We Know Hillary Does. |
|
Guess we'll have to see what happens.

13. I agree, and it raises another issue for me |
|
Hillary is no dummy - she knows there is alot of hatred out there for her - irrational or otherwise. So she must have been confident, when deciding to run for pres, that she could diffuse attacks from the MSM. Like you, I'm not sure Obama foresees the attacks that he's likely to get or has the ability to handle it.
So despite Hillary's current negatives, I've got to wonder if she might stand a better chance than Obama of winning against McCain.

the GOP as first lady? She withstood attacks on her husband? Is that how she learned how to run her campaign?
