Why can't the DU grown-ups stay out of the playpen? |
|
Clearly there are some people here who have an agenda. Whether they just feel very strongly about their candidate or have other motives, I am not going to speculate. I am not their mother, their teacher or their babysitter. Many of them are very new and they appear to be somewhat organized in their ability to group together and get their offensive and childish diatribes k&r'ed very quickly. Whatever.
I wouldn't really care and would just let them swim around in their own septic tank. But what I can't understand is why and how otherwise respected individuals on this site get sucked into this. If these posts are meant to inflame and incite, they are working quite well, don't you think? I have gotten sucked in at times and have to acknowledge the skill that some of these posters have.
I don't think we need to be calling for mommy and daddy to fix this. I think we can fix this ourselves by just ignoring them. And I don't mean using the ignore button. I mean by not engaging with them at all. I really think they will find this a lot less fun if they don't get any response from the grown-ups. And even if they continue, they will only be flinging mud at each other.

1. Perhaps it will make clear that DU is not at all representative of Dems as a whole. nt |
