Am getting the same feeling I got before NH - Obama and Clinton...
Before NH, I could sense that something was changing...people were feeling sorry for Clinton, and Obama had a really bad debate (he just seemed super sleepy, and not really with it)...I also saw that that he was being played up as overconfident.

I've gotten the same feeling today...a lot of you are making a very well-reasoned argument against the "plagarism" of the words "just words" from a friend (Patrick) who said that it was fine...but the news media keeps using the words "plagarism" (which are very bad words to the American public)...and this one is taking hold BIG TIME (imo)...

I don't think his response has been portrayed very well on the news, it comes across as defensive and dismissive...and not only is it on the news, but it is on Entertainment Tonight and freaking perez hilton...it is everywhere...

I think that this could be another NH because of it -
I'm an Obama supporter, and it is literally making me ill in the pit of my stomach...

A lot of you are laughing it off...but I'm not...

if you are, I'd suggest you get on the phones, tonight/tomorrow...or do SOMETHING, do whatever you can to make sure that this isn't another NH...

This thing has been picked up, and it really focuses on and works against his major strength...

I'm very concerned that this could make a huge difference tomorrow...

1. I'm not so sure.
People feel as if they know who these candidates better than they did a month ago. NH still weighs heavily on my mind, but one thing I DON'T see is a lot of outrage from Obama's own supporters, who are now more numerous than before, when the race was dominated by Independents.

So this won't make much of a difference tomorrow, but it MAY make a difference in Ohio and Texas UNLESS more wins tomorrow cancel out negative press today.

3. I agree in that whatever happens tomorrow will completely cancel out today's news cycle...
but I think that the "plagarism" attack is meant to have an effect on tomorrow's news cycle...

And, a month ago, I rememer very well how people were in general thinking that Clinton was cracking, and Obama was going to run away with it...

I just have the feeling that this kind of thing can turn the news...
He is supposed to win ig in WI tomorrow...if he doesn't, she wins the news cycle, and can dictate what goes on from there...

And without any big races between now and March 5th, that could be a huge deal!

2. New Hampshire, where Obama split delegates evenly with Clinton?
I hope this turns into "another New Hampshire".

Because Clinton will soon be writing her concession speech.

6. But remember how it was spun by the news media...
EVEN THOUGH he was behind by something like 10 points a week or two before the vote...

It was spun as an absolutely astounding comeack by Clinton...from 10 points down to two points up, WOW! she has turned the campaign around...and that helped her through NV, and was only stopped in South Carolina...

By the way, imo, I think Obama would have picked up more states on February 5th if not for "Snub-gate"...and I know it was nothing, and you know it was nothing...but, I think that cost him...I teach high school, and weeks later, kids were still talking about how he wouldn't even shake her hand...

I think this one is much bigger than that...which is part of the reason why I'm so concerned...

27. Doesn't matter how it's spun. If TX delegates are split, Obama wins. End of story.
The Hillary campaign has already said they need blowouts in Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania to win. A close win for her isn't a blowout, it's a loss as far as the campaign's own expectations.

Hillary's support among Latinos will be seen as fading if it's even close in Texas, a state she's been expected to win all this time and Obama hasn't even campaigned in yet this year.

The media can spin it all they want. The facts are delegates give you the nomination, not popular votes and not media spin. If Obama breaks even in Texas with delegates, with his other victories, he'll be as close to the nomination as John McCain is today.

"I think this one is much bigger than that...which is part of the reason why I'm so concerned..."

In the future, you may not want to use the word "concerned". People get mocked here for that. If you don't know why, this article may help.

I'm not saying that you are one of these posters, I'm saying DUers are quick to jump on the word "concerned" as a way of detecting these concern trolls.

4. Making a huge difference tomorrow was the reason for the attack.
And for people who have just recently tuned in to the candidates -- people who have only recently paid attention -- it can sway them and lure them to Clinton.

That's why her campaign did it today. Because the Wisconsin primary is tomorrow.

9. But it still put the word out there...
"Plagarism" is a bad thing...
His words are what really draw people to him...
If they aren't his, then do they have as much meaning...

Again, I'm for Obama, but this is being spun VERY negatively against him (IMO!)

"So hateful, Bill Clinton was called the first "black president".

By a predominately white media. Media he helped to deregulate, no less.

14. Orielly is on, said it was no big deal, then Karl Rove comes on and calls it
political plagiarism, said he should have credited it, not as bad as written tho

HardBall was on earlier, Chris Matthews was pretty easy on topic

Lets hope Obama hits one out of the park first thing in the morning and grab the headlines all day making for a big win!

You may be correct, but I sure as hell hope not.

Not merely because I would prefer to see Obama win, but because of what it would say about the behavior of voters.

30. It's very unfortunate that the majority of primary voters pay attention only
a few days before the primary and not before. It's the way it has been throughout this primary season, and it is only human nature. It is the fault of no one. But the Hillary campaign understands this, and understands how to make it work for her. By launching a last-minute baseless attack on Obama that the media drools after.
