I just left the Obama campaign meeting in Waco |
|
It was standing room only - and many couldn't even get in the meeting room. They actually asked some of us to leave if we had already seen the presentation !!
I don't think I have ever seen such a diverse group of people - anywhere, ever. Old, young, hispanic, white, black, asian, men, women, students. Amazing.
This is SO exciting !

18. LOL. Well part of it is that he represented Fort Hood - thousands |
|
and thousands of soldiers and war machine associates. I remember I wrote him about the Downing St memo and he wrote me back and said that he believed Bush when Bush said the would fix the intelligence. (like really fix it not alter it).

34. it's great. You know I really think people really do just want to |
|
get past all the division - and Hillary, through maybe little fault of her own, will perpetuate it. The vast right wing will stir up the shit every single day if she is in office. We will never get beyond it.

21. Really ??? That;'s Wonderful !. One interesting thing I read on the |
|
polls - 30% of the likely primary male voters would NEVER vote for Clinton! Isn't that huge?
I wish every single Obama supporter could come here and help. We need it !

30. Thats always what made this whole exercise so narcissistic |
|
high negatives never win an election absolutely never. The reason is that if somebody says they are for somebody it may mean they really love that candidate or that they are just so - so. When they say that they don't like somebody it means they have already formed a very firm opinion. You can move positives up and down but negatives never go down only up.
By forcing themselves in the campaign they planned on division. They can win with 40% of the electorate if repeat if its a 3 way battle. If JE stayed in longer she would have been the nominee and John McCain would have been the president.

35. You're right - it's the big elephant in the room - half the people say they |
|
would never vote for her. It's ridiculous to field a candidate like that.
I thought that O needed JE to stay in - to align themselves. But, that was before O started skyrocketing.
Do you think JE has just waited too long to endorse - like it's almost meaningless now - except of course for his what 26 delegates?

37. Well if he endorses Hillary now he will become a laughing stock |
|
If he endorses Obama he will have to say why he waited and it may be tied to a specific policy initiative and everyone will say right on. If it turns out to be that he didn't get enough personal attention it will make him seem shallow. Which as an Edwards supporter I heard but never believed.

38. I'm in Ingram,Tx....just outside of Kerrville. We're 75 miles north |
|
of San Antonio and 125 miles west of Austin. I'm hoping to see Sen. Obama take Texas in the double digits! Unfortunately, I'm in a very red (previously red...maybe blue soon) area that will only have three delegates to post but every delegate is important. We're a primary area...not caucus.

realize that only applied in some places. Keep hoping. You can never really underestimate the desire of most all people to move forward. Absolutely love your part of Texas !
