1. Quit it. Make Michelle first lady or "We're not doing this again"
And of course, “Barack is one of the smartest people you will ever encounter who will deign to enter this messy thing called politics.”

2. How is "hope and change" working for Massachusetts?
I hear it is working well for Patrick with his new Cadillac and 11,000 in taxpayer funded drapes but what about the people of Massachusetts?

12. I've hear the people of Mass can't stand him. Unfortunately, the man is very unpopular.
But, I don't really know...that's what I heard several times and I never heard anyone ever praise him as Governor. I remember being very disappointed because I was glad a Dem had won the election...although I never paid attention to the race. If he was successful...I think the people of MA would have voted for Obama. With Kennedy, Kerry and Patrick all supporting Obama...I'm surprised that Hillary won. That's kind of confirms the opinion I heard.

19. I agree with your reasoning
I think Patrick is well-intentioned and a good Democrat but he is an example that confirms Hillary's argument. Words aren't enough. You need concrete action and yes, you need experience too. Patrick didn't have any experience in the executive or legislative branches in Massachusetts and it has shown.

17. Yeah, he had a rough first 365 days..but he's trying to turn things around by actually reaching out
to statehouse members. Unique idea that Hillary understands, working w/ those across the aisle.

He's trying to get the Cape Wind project moving forward and i think it's going to work.

18. Why did he struggle at first? I thought experience doesn't matter?
"Hope and change" isn't enough to be ready one day one?

3. It's the David Axelrod formula:
Vague messages of hope and change defended by claims of policy positions on a website.

All of which is then followed by an inability to govern effectively.

So I don't have to experience Patrick's mediocrity.

14. Apparently, people in MA aren't too happy with their new health insurance mandates.
You know, the ones your candidate wants to impose on the rest of the country.

24. Obama didn't just copy words. He copied an entire campaign and is exposed as a fraud
There is no "politics of hope", "movement for change". "Hope and change", "yes we can"? Just focus grouped words Axlerod writes for his clients to use whenever there is an election. What we now know--and the Obamite defense of the Patrick/Obama overlap implicitly concedes this--is all of this is just campaign gimmickry. Take all of this away and what makes Obama stick out over Hillary, Edwards, Biden, Dodd, Kucinich, and Gravel? He is the front runner now because of what now has been revealed to be election year gimmicks, not an actual movement or new ideas he is advancing.

25. What makes him stick out? How about actually having the foresight to be AGAINST the Iraq War?
I also take it you didn't listen to his 2004 DNC speech.

26. That isn't solely why he is where he is today
What happened to Kucinich, a real anti-war candidate? What about 2004? Dean and Clark combined to win two primaries. The AUMF helps him and gave him an immediate starting point in terms of support but that isn't what turned a politician who lost 61-31 in a House race in 2000 and needed a scandal to win his senate primary into a political hulk in just two years.
