Question from an Edwards supporter to Edwards supporters. |
|
There is a lot of anger here because Obama and Hillary have both snatched up a lot of Edwards positions and attitudes after they proved to resonate with voters very well.
I understand the anger over this, I really do.
But even though our candidate didn't win, can't we look on the bright side and be happy that he managed to have such an influential, populist effect on the race?
It seems that if he had dropped out without having this effect, much of you would be mourning that he had so little effect and the candidates didn't move farther left because of it.
All I'm saying is, at least we have a bright side.

The amount of low-information "me too" posting has made it nearly impossible to even check in around here. It seems that with the Edwards supporters now mostly quiet, there is no one left to have a discussion on issues. The few attempts I have seen quickly get swamped by a stream of name calling and insults from both sides, appearing heavier from the Obama side.
Happy to see either use John's message; happier when they adopt his programs and not just use his language to paper over a lesser plan.
EDIT: I am angry when I see a couple of posters quoting John or Elizabeth out of context from six months ago in order to try to win some current argument. Particularly annoying since those very posters attacked Edwards repeatedly.

5. They may be saying those things to attract progressive votes. |
|
But we'll soon see how deep those positions and attitudes go.
I have a feeling many progressive voters who hope to have John's platform adopted by one of the Bobsy Twins will be disappointed.
