Now, I'm sure some of you will want to apologize to the Clintons in this thread for your obnoxious paranoia, and so you will be accommodated here.

There is nothing on ObamaTruth.org that identifies anyone involved in it. But the site is registered to a veteran political operative from Chicago who works for J. Patrick Rooney, an Indiana insurance magnate known for bankrolling racially charged advertisements attacking Democrats"

7. I am now thoroughly convinced of two factors.
A. Half of the GOP is more scared of Obama beating McCain than they are of HRC beating McCain.

B. The other half of the GOP knows they're screwed in November, but would rather see Obama in the White House than HRC.

I've never seen the Republicans so disorganized and worried before--and I LOVE it!

"betraying" the "principles" of the GOP (aside from Iraq) that they've basically conceded the race and are considering voting for whatever Democrat McCain's up against in hopes that four years later that Democrat will have screwed up so much that a new "pureblood" GOP candidate can win back the WH in a landslide so the GOP can hold it for another 100 years.

They'd rather wait 4 years than see McCain undermine the GOP in the WH, watch him screw up ("he's gonna give the illegal bean eaters amnesty, fer cryin' out loud! 4 years of McCain and the western states will be part of Mexico again!"), and then hand the WH over to the Dems for another 100 years.

Meanwhile, they're encouraging their listeners to focus on getting more Repukes into Congress.

Seriously, that's the way they've been talking.

The GOP is crumbling as we speak.

9. no apology just yet
But the site is registered to a veteran political operative from Chicago who works for J. Patrick Rooney, an Indiana insurance magnate known for bankrolling racially charged advertisements attacking Democrats.

Although he has been a consultant for many politicians over the years, including Walter F. Mondale, the 1984 Democratic presidential nominee, and Mayor Richard M. Daley of Chicago, Mr. Novak said in an interview that lately he had been working almost exclusively for Mr. Rooney. His projects, he said, involve exposing inequities in health care that result in poor people’s being denied medical treatment or gouged by insurers and hospitals, topics of interest to Mr. Rooney, who champions medical savings accounts as an alternative to conventional health insurance.

Mr. Novak maintains a blog, WhereTheMoneyGoes.com, that examines the spending practices of nonprofit hospitals, and some of his disclosures have been picked up by newspapers around the country. He said it was after he learned that Mrs. Obama was earning more than $300,000 as a vice president of the University of Chicago Hospitals, a frequent subject of his writings, that he decided to take a closer look at the Obamas and to set up ObamaTruth.org.

The Obama site, Mr. Novak said, was not part of his work for Mr. Rooney, whom he said was aware of it and “is interested in it.” He said he used his own money to create the Obama videos and maintain the Web site, but he acknowledged that because Mr. Rooney was his principal source of income, one could infer that the two were related.

the article does not say that Rooney is bankrolling the site; this Novak guy has ties to the Democrats, including Mondale who has endorsed Hillary and Daley who has endorsed Obama

still not ready to apologize to anyone

15. political operative nicknamed "Low Joe Blow"
There's no telling who is pulling the strings. Hillary hasn't denounced this has she?

Joe Novak is a political operative, gets paid mostly by Pat Rooney, who attacked John Kerry's wife.
Roomey is a major financial backer for two pro-Republican groups, America’s PAC and the Council for Better Government. Rooney was chairman of an insurance company for 10 years. He h

Blogger Known Well in Politics Turns His Attention to Attack on Obama Campaign
August 30, 2007

The operative behind it is Joe Novak, 54, a consultant whose colorful history in Illinois politics earned him the nickname Low Blow Joe. A Chicago Sun-Times columnist once wrote that if dirty tricks were an art form, “Novak would be Renoir.”

...Although he has been a consultant for many politicians over the years, including Walter F.

In the 2004 presidential campaign, Mr. Rooney gave financing to a group, People of Color United, for radio advertisements attacking Teresa Heinz Kerry, wife of Senator John Kerry, the Democratic nominee, for calling herself an African-American. Ms. Heinz Kerry, who is white, was born and raised in Mozambique. Mr. Rooney, who is white, told The Washington Post at the time that he supported the group, “because the genuine word from the black community should be heard, not white folks saying it for them.”

Republican Group Chides Democrats With Abortion Ads
Aim Is To Win Minority Voters, But Democrats Cry Foul

By JOSH GERSTEIN
Staff Reporter of the Sun
October 17, 2006

A little-known Republican group that claims to have swayed the 2004 presidential election with provocative radio advertising aimed at black and Hispanic audiences is spending nearly $1 million this year to boost the GOP's chances of holding on to a majority in Congress.

.."Black babies are terminated at triple the rate of white babies," a female announcer in one of the ads says, as rain, thunder, and a crying infant are heard in the background. "The Democratic Party supports these abortion laws that are decimating our people, but the individual's right to life is protected in the Republican platform. Democrats say they want our vote. Why don't they want our lives?"

Another ad features a dialogue between two men.

"If you make a little mistake with one of your ‘hos,' you'll want to dispose of that problem tout suite, no questions asked," one of the men says.

"That's too cold. I don't snuff my own seed," the other replies."Maybe you do have a reason to vote Republican," the first man says.....America's Pac is the brainchild of a Kansas-based Republican consultant, Richard Nadler. He said Sunday that he is no longer affiliated with the group.

18. There was no point in posting that trash on this site.
"And so it begins..."

No, isn't beginning. It began and was debunked last year.

So when someone brings up an abhorrent, swiftboating site like that one, when it has CLEARLY been shown to be false, the intent is CRYSTAL CLEAR.

The innocent "we're only trying to help you prepare" $hit can be saved for the Coalition of the Willingly Desperate.

But as a Democrat, I would NEVER, EVER, post any of the tripe that out there on all the Rose Law, Whitewater, Vince Foster bullcrap, because I'm not going to falsely smear a Democrat.

Like I said, if one is defending the posting of such tripe on this website, then I think the intent and motivation is clear.

Herman is a Clinton supporter.

Therefore, at least a dozen Clinton supporters think it is ok to promote a right-wing hit site on DU.

That's not "ONE GUY".

The Republicans are in a panic. They thought Hillary was a sure thing (as did Hillary) and never contemplated real competition for their party's candidate. Of course they have to bring down Obama. Hillary will unite the Republicans behind McCain, Obama will steal some of his votes.
